Between this, "Buy Dirt" and to a lesser extent "What My World Spins Around", Jordan Davis is on a roll single release wise and I am very excited to see this climb the charts.

I think this will be his biggest hit yet. It’s just going to connect so well with every couple out there, it really captures the spirit of a growing serious relationship. Jordan started off with a couple decent hits to start his career, but I never really saw him as a potential standout in the genre. That’s changing now after this current 3 song stretch going back to “Buy Dirt”. I really think this song can make him an A-lister.

Best choice. Apparently he hesitated making this the follow up since it covers some similar themes to "Buy Dirt", but the fans hooked on this one and kept the hype going. I'd argue that JD is one of the best radio artists we have today, has been consistent for awhile now.

This is going to be massive. I will be stunned if it’s not as big as “Buy Dirt.”

The Billboard's Country Update states Tucson Too Late was the original second (technically the third since Buy Dirt is in the album) single choice of the album.

Less than two months since it's impact date and this has made it to #21 on Billboard and Mediabase. While not at a Morgan Wallen/Luke Combs pace, I do think Jordan Davis has really made himself a solid name for himself in country music with this, "Buy Dirt", and "What My World Spins Around" as evident by him getting a Male Vocalist Of The Year nom for the ACM. Very excited to see his star continuing to grow as I have grown to really like his music and he seems like an awesome dude.

This should easily hit #1 on both charts (and be the first non Combs, Zimmerman, Wallen #1 since "Thank God" on Billboard) and be a multi week #1 (fingers crossed) as this has made it all the way to #6 on Billboard and #4 on Mediabase after only 16 weeks on the chart and should fill the void once "Last Night" is done as this also doesn't have any immediate competition until "Fast Car" (Megan Moroney is maxing next week, "One Thing At A Time" is almost done, "Human" threw in the towel, and "Memory Lane" is over 1000 spins behind).
Definitely think Jordan Davis at worst is a Dustin Lynch/Cole Swindell where he only has fast chart runs with songs that really connect on a big scale, but I am so glad to see him and this song do so well and I hope this song is finally the boost he needs to be an A-lister (or at least a level below whatever Combs/Wallen are) as he deserves it.
Also I will say besides Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen, Jordan Davis music is the artist I hear the most on radio it feels like lately.

I saw Jordan open for Hank Williams, Jr. before he was signed or really even heard of. His show gave me potential hitmaker vibes but not to the level he's at now. Phenomenal to have seen him before he was even a budding star. Met him at his merch booth and they were offering free t-short with cd urchase but all they has was L. I still bought the CD and told him I was looking forward to hearing him on the radio.

There’s some great options for the next single too. My vote is for “Money Isn’t Real”, it’s an upbeat song with a really relatable message that I think would connect well.

Given Tucson Too Late is the original second single choice, they may go to that one this time. In terms of message, Short Fuse is actually a great contrast to "angry break up songs" by men, but it's not exactly the most radio-friendly song from the album.

I'm team Tucson Too Late, personally, but there are definitely other options.

I don’t know that they could go wrong with any songs being the next single. It’s a good album overall.

I love that “Next Thing You Know” has moved up the chart so quickly! Jordan has been on a roll lately and I’m looking forward to finding out what the next single is going to be. I wonder if they’ll go with “Damn Good Time” or “One Beer In Front of the Other” to get an uptempo in there! Also loving “Tucson Too Late”, “Part of It”, “Sunday Saints”, and the title track.

Tucson Too Late was the only non-single he performed at his CMA Fest set / Nissan Stadium debut, so they're definitely ready to push that one. Also the most-streamed non-single from the album on Spotify thus far

I wonder if they will max this next week given it looks like a lot of stations are powering it up a lot this week. I think this has an okay shot at Billboard but I still don’t think it’s certain as “Last Night” really isn’t budging.

Two weeks push at #1...Let's hope Last Night falls a lot in two weeks.

I’m a lot more optimistic seeing a two week push so now I would say it’s a lock for number one seeing “Last Night” is beginning to fall and this is growing rather quickly. Also fingers crossed for a two week number one.

Honestly, with how fast Fast Car is gaining, I think this may not get the Billboard #1. Just horrible timing. There's no way he gets it next week, maaaaybe the week after. It would be so disappointing if this does indeed miss the top considering how huge it was. I really love this one.

I do think it helps that it'll be maxing out two weeks in a row to help it's odds of reaching #1 so it definitely has a solid shot of the Billboard #1.

So this started maxing today or yesterday, and it's posting some decent gains. However, somehow, Fast Car is gaining much more than it is. That honestly makes me think this will (very sadly) miss #1, at least on Billboard.

This song blocked by the two biggest hits of the year in its two push weeks may be the most unfortunate one.

This song blocked by the two biggest hits of the year in its two push weeks may be the most unfortunate one. It’s sad and very unlucky considering it itself is probably in the top five biggest hits of the year as well. Any other timing it probably would have gotten at least 3 weeks at #1

I don’t see fast car catching up this week so if it can push strong it could still make it.
