Nope. Literally any male artist could sing this. It was "Streetlights" or bust for me, so bust. He could be so unique but is just releasing safe, generic fluff.

This is better than his debut, melody wise, but still not that strong, even comparing with other generic pop country songs. I wish he had more songs that are unique to his roots, instead of these safe attempts. I’m seeing him opening for Old Dominion soon, and at least looking forward to Streetlight.

"Country'd Look Good on You" did nothing for me and was so forgettable and bland, and while this one doesn't exactly stand out in a big way, I do think this is easily a vast improvement over his debut hit. Something about the combination of the melody and his vocals on this sound like it was air-dropped from the like early 2000s, though the production of course brings it back closer to 2023. That said, it still sounds a bit closer in sound to like a Chris Cagle or Joe Nichols hit from 20 years ago than something played alongside Walker Hayes, Sam Hunt, and Jason Aldean. Solid effort.

IMO he really just doesn’t stand out to me. I think this will fare very poorly in the sales/streams dept just like his last single and will hold this back from making any significant impact for him, though I could be wrong looking at Joe Nichols and Shane Profitt, expect Frank feels much less of a label priority compared to them as he’s the weakest performing solo artist on Stoney Creek. Wonder if Jimmie gets dropped permanently and if that prompts more label investment in him and this connects but if not, I could see this being the last BBR release from him tbh.
IMO Stoney Creek has felt like more of a radio/single success label than commercially & critically successful project/album label, with the possibility of Jelly Roll moving the needle a bit at least commercially , so if they can’t get a single to connect on radio or commercially in any significant way, he’s in trouble.

This gained over 200,000 in audience this week and moved from 57-52 on the airplay chart. I think he can get this to the top 40 maybe but with no buzz I expect it to die around there.

There was very little buzz around his first single and it made the top 20. I won't be shocked if they can get this that high again. I think he'll be a priority for the label going forward.

I think it could go that high but it really seems like a waste of time to push this song for much longer if none of his music can steam well or give him any chance at longevity. I agree with what others have said though that he needs more music that showcases his heritage which could maybe start helping his career.

Enters top 50 on MB rolling chart today (#49). I'm assuming his album dropping this week along with the gains he's been seeing helped a little bit.

Is Frank the first Hispanic country singer we’ve had since Rick Trevino?

This song is getting bailed out to an extent due to some solid callout scores (#18 on Monday Morning Intel) as this song has no buzz whatsoever as the music video has been out for 2 months and has only 10,000 views on YouTube which is pretty awful for a mainstream country radio single.

McCoy’s first solo charting hit was in 1990, Trevino’s was in 1993 and Emilio’s was in 1995 which happened to be his only top 40 hit called “It’s Not The End Of The World”.
