New peak of 38 on Country Airplay. Once the Log jam towards the top of the chart clears, hopefully she will be in the top 30 soon.

Not only did she rise 3 spots to #38, but she gained half a million audience this week. Very, very good week, especially compared to last week.

Not sure what is happening. Back down to #39 and negative audience impressions. Is this just because the chart is clogged or is OOTT not clicking with people? Does it have callout scores yet?

It’s from the clogged chart given that a lot of songs lost their bullet this week. At worst this is a mid end hit for her but it still looks very promising for the top 10.

Does it have callout scores yet? *sigh* I'm gonna say this as nicely as I can but this exact kind of chart trajectory happens to about 3/4 of the songs on the country chart. I know Carrie didn't used to be among the group that experienced this historically (having regular weeks with minimal or slightly negative growth), but she is now becoming part of that majority group. Everything about its run so far has been totally expected given the way the country chart operates, while also being promising for the long-term prospects of OOTT becoming a hit. It's a huge success on streaming and it currently sits at #39 after only 9 weeks on the chart, which is GREAT. We just cannot continue to compare this to other Carrie Underwood single runs, but when you consider that she's doing on par with (or even better than) current singles by Gabby Barrett, Brian Kelley, Carly Pearce, Darius Rucker, Jake Owen, HARDY, Parker McCollum, etc. Most of those acts have way more momentum and are following hits that were WAY bigger than "Hate My Heart" was, too. This is by all accounts doing quite well and it's already getting old seeing the same cyclical "is it flopping?!" every week from Carrie fans. Please relax.

I echo the sentiments above. Y’all gotta chill. I say that in the most nice way possible. This will be Carrie’s longest climb up the chart, and very well might not peak till next spring; caused greatly by her lackluster single choices over the past few years. She has zero momentum.
She’ll have good weeks and she’ll have bad weeks. But the fact that if this continues to stream as it has, that it will surpass Ghost Story in streams in approximately 2 months, is super promising, considering how new it is.

No exaggeration. The majority of hit songs on the country charts take like 40-ish weeks to peak, unless they're by one of the few hot stars of the moment (i.e. Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Bailey Zimmerman).

I need Carrie stans to calm down and understand that we are not in the country radio landscape that we were in when she started out, and have not been for nearly a decade. Not to mention she torpedoed any new momentum she had from “If I Didn’t Love You” and “Ghost Story” thanks to the massive flop (for her) that “Hate My Heart” was, just barely sneaking into the Top 20. That song never hit the Hot Country Songs chart ONCE, and hit the Top 20. “Out of That Truck” is out-streaming 60-70% of the entirety of the Hot Country Songs chart and is only at #38, as it hits the Top 40 this week on the Country Airplay chart. This song is doing marvelously, particularly for a 40-year-old woman in country music. The kind of success some 20-something women in this format could only dream of. The histrionics never fail to make me cackle. I’m only repeating this once. In the nicest way I know how to say this…please take a fucking breath.

Lmao…
Everyone is in a hurry!
I’m guessing the video will come out in conjunction with the Deluxe release - so I imagine there will be some sort of dual promotion. There might not be talk shows, but I imagine they’ll use social media to capitalize exposure and probably some well timed plugs during the SNF broadcasts, which will probably be one of the highest viewed weekly cable shows, especially considering how little else there is to watch. I’m sure they have a plan.

Considering how long chart runs take these days I kinda figured she wouldn't release the video until it's at least top 30 late 20's. No reason other than it will still day forever and a blue moon once it gets to that point.

She's taking forever to release the music video to this. To be fair, she’s been busy this summer. She had shows in Vegas, she’s been touring smaller venues as well. Plus she just started her 3 show stint as Guns n Roses’ opener. Plus, like others have said, I’m sure a September release of the video is more likely as the Deluxe edition is out on the 22nd and this should hopefully be top 30 by then. All about timing at this point.

This song fell back two spots on the airplay chart and lost audience!!!!!! I think this song may never scrape the top 30 and Carrie's radio career has gone up in flames. There is no more hope!!!! ;) {Spoiler} That was sarcasm. To be 100% clear. :)

Carrie released a new track from her Denim & Rhinestones (Deluxe Edition) on Friday, titled "Give Her That."
I'm actually a big fan of this one. It's right up there with "Out of That Truck" for me, arguably better than a good number of songs that made the standard album.

"Take Me Out" was a dud, but "Give Her That" is excellent. Very smooth melody and great vocal from Carrie.

This is taking it's sweet time in reaching the top 30 so far... Yup. It's probably not going to be a hit. The charts move super fast so this song moving slowly is a bad sign. There is no log jam on the charts so not sure why this isn't moving up quicker. The charts when Carrie was in her prime were super slow compared to now but now they're super fast. **Trying to say the opposite because it seems like when people say over and over again what EXACTLY is happening it doesn't seem to get through.**

I haven't checked in in a while. How is OOTT doing? It’s been taking off strongly recently and should be top 30 in not too long. The one thing that may hurt it is callout scores but those may change as more people hear it.

I wouldn’t expect it to stay low but if it does it could hurt it.

Back up to #38 this week. Let’s hope this starts to get some more Airplay now that some songs at the top are peaking and falling down the chart.

I'm starting to think her radio success is nearing its end. Legacy act here she comes. And that's not a bad thing. She may be able to catch lightning in a bottle on occasion, but honestly I'm not sure. Now, that doesn't mean she won't still be a successful entertainer and performer, I just think her chart life is waning. I'm guessing Miranda isn't far behind. They have been trailblazers for sure, but the torch is pretty much being passed on. With that said, do your passion projects Carrie. Whatever you want to do. I'd love it if you would write from the heart either on your own or with a single co-writer. Something different than the scheduled writing sessions. Selfishly, I'd love a classic country sounding record, but you do you. Rock. Christian. Whatever. But, put your heart into it. I'm here for it.

She's never had the radio success Carrie has, and she certainly didn't this era. Anyway, OOTT moved up to 33 on mediabase today and had 7 more adds. I personally think she has one more commercial album left. Love if she went more country or brought back the storyteller sound.

I mean I think it’s difficult to see where she stands with radio as prior to OOTT she hasn’t been putting her best foot forward with her singles (really any of her UMG singles prior to OOTT besides Southbound.) I do think this has caused radio to lose some interest in her recent releases, causing them to have slower climbs up the chart.
I think radio is still interested because even though OOTT is having a slow climb, radio didn’t outright tank it, like they did with Miranda’s and Maren’s latest singles.
I hope next era she returns to a more country sound. Storyteller remains my favorite album from her, and I see that it’s many other’s favorite as well. I’d love another album like that. And for her to promo her material like she promos her garden lol. I think if she plays in radio’s wheelhouse she still has a good many top 10 hits in her, maybe #1s every now and then too. Just depends if she cares about that anymore.

I personally think she has one more commercial album left. Love if she went more country or brought back the storyteller sound. Sorry if I offended you. My point is that Carrie and Miranda came up in the business together, which means they are often considered together when looking at a point and time in country music. I made no mention of comparing their chart success, touring success, or awards success. To be clear, I support them both, but love Carrie so much more. My comment was more all-encompassing than that. Both are reaching the mature stage of their chart success trajectory. I'm not saying either of them won't ever see any chart success again, but I contend that it will be harder and harder. It's just how the music industry continues to work, fair or not. My hope for Carrie is that she puts her heart and soul into something (whatever genre she chooses). To me, many of her most recent efforts are too formulaic and in the pop/country space. I agree about moving on from Garcia (unless she has a Christian Contemporary project upcoming perhaps). If she's going to focus on true country (I can dream can't I), she needs to move in a different direction. I want something that doesn't even compare to any of her other albums. There are individual songs I could point to as the sound I would love to see her develop further, but not a specific album from her discography. Here's what I want 😀: "Low"
