What will be 2023’s equivalent to Blinding Lights, Stay, or As It Was? That is, a truly monster hit that spends forever near the top and refuses to go away.

Something that has yet to come out.

Flowers and Kill Bill are the closest ones so far.
I fear Last Night could become this to a T, though, with the huge multi-format appeal.

Hopefully we get a real song of the summer like OTR and it falls off by February 2024.

Hopefully, there will be none. I hope we get to see a faster turnover rate for songs in the top 10 coming forward, and to all of those monstrous chart-runs to be left in the past. But anyways:
In my perfect daydream fantasy scenario, either Cupid or Chemical are gonna blow up in popularity and become said big hit, a huge summer smash.
In the best case scenario, either Anti-Hero, Kill Bill or Flowers is going to become it.
In the worst case scenario, it's gonna be a regional mexicana song, or Last Night.

It's hard to say, because "Anti-Hero" was considered one of the biggest songs of 2022 despite coming out at the end of the year.
Of what's out right now, I would say Post Malone's "Chemical" or Morgan Wallen's "Last Night." Maybe even Miley's "Flowers" if it gets a second wind.

35+ weeks in the top 10 and top 15 on the all-time chart? None so far.

What are the 2010’s equivalents of Blinding Lights/Stay/As It Was?🤔 Imo: 2011: Party Rock Anthem (29 weeks in the top 10, 6 weeks at #1). 2015: Uptown Funk! (31 weeks in the top 10, 14 weeks at #1). 2016: Closer (32 weeks in the top 10, 12 weeks at #1). 2017: Shape Of You (33 weeks in the top 10, 12 weeks at #1). 2018: Girls Like You (33 weeks in the top 10, 7 weeks at #1). 2019: Old Town Road (26 weeks in the top 10, but 19 weeks at #1). 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2014 didn't have a song so massive when compared to others that could be highlighted in such a way. The closest one I can think of for those years could be Tik Tok, Somebody That I Used To Know, Blurred Lines, and All About That Bass respectively.

2013 was definitely Blurred Lines, no doubt about it.

The closest one I can think of for those years could be Tik Tok, Somebody That I Used To Know, Blurred Lines, and All About That Bass respectively. What about the 2000’s? The 2000's didn't have any song that charted in the top 10 for more than 26 weeks, and overall it's quite underrepresented on the GOAT to really compare any of its songs to the monstrous chart-runs of the already mentioned tunes of the 10s and 20s. However, taking into account the turnover rates of how fast songs faded out of the top spots throughout the decade, these would be imo my candidates for most dominant chart-run of each year (in the bold being the strongest ones): 2000: Maria Maria (18 weeks in the top 10, 10 weeks at #1). 2001: Familly Affair (19 weeks in the top 10, 6 weeks at #1). 2002: How You Remind Me (23 weeks in the top 10, 4 weeks at #1).2003: In Da Club (17 weeks in the top 10, 9 weeks at #1). 2004: Yeah! (24 weeks in the top 10, 12 weeks at #1).2005: We Belong Together (23 weeks in the top 10, 14 weeks at #1).2006: Promiscuous (17 weeks in the top 10, 6 weeks at #1). 2007: No One (22 weeks in the top 10, 5 weeks at #1).2008: Low (23 weeks in the top 10, 10 weeks at #1). 2009: I Gotta Feeling (22 weeks in the top 10, 14 weeks at #1).

Seeing how the charts (streaming and radio) are going, it’s gonna be Flowers. I don’t see that song leaving the Top 10 on the Hot 100 until the end of summer at the earliest.

Who would've thought that it would be "Cruel Summer"? (At least at pop radio)

Those are all huge on their own right but I would not rank any on that inescapable level of the three songs on the title of the thread. Last Night has the stats but anecdotically I've never even heard the full song let alone hear anyone talk about it outside of chart discussions.

Seeing its run on pop radio right now, 'Calm Down' is all I can think of.

Calm Down absolutely fits for pop radio (and Cruel Summer looks to follow suit), but still doesn't quite have the dominance of the others overall. And I'd agree that we haven't had one quite like those this year. Flowers and Last Night wound up being the closest, but even at that neither one quite reached the heights of Blinding Recurrency, STAY (In the Top 5), and As It Still Is.
Still monster hits, IMO, but those three were by and large so inescapable they almost had a life completely separated from chart stats.
And with 2023 coming to an end soon and the Christmas dominance coming, I don't foresee us really getting one this year. Which is fine, we don't really need one or should expect to see one every year.
As a side note, I'm surprised no one brought up Heat Waves as another example of this type of hit because it definitely fits IMO. As does Levitating. Sweater Weather very slowly seems to have earned this title too, but without the chart stats.
