This is the one brand new original song from her new album, Not That Fancy. The rest of the album is basically the Revisited component of her 2021 Revised, Remixed, Revisited compilation, only with "If You See Him/If You See Her", "Till You Love Me", and "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia" added to it.
It is written in such a way that it could be directed towards anyone who has passed on, but it of course immediately made me think about my mom. Which tugged at the hearstrings a bit just listening to the song. But not gonna lie, last night when the music video dropped, and I saw that Reba herself was pining for her own mother, and the little gestures of affection that she acted out so beautifully with the look-alike stand-in that she was "visiting" in heaven, I actually sat here and cried the whole way through.
Mind you, I'm not somebody who tends to feel emotions when listening to music. Like I might get chills at a well-written line, but I don't actually experience the emotions themselves. (Probably why I'm able to be such a huge fan of people like Reba and Martina 😂) But this one got me. Reba is just such an earnest, real person. God bless her. I doubt this'll get a radio push, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to have a thread in the subforum!

Such a beautiful song, and the video compliments it perfectly. Reba is such a real, down to earth person, and this captures it perfectly. With all of the goodwill, positive press and platform that she now has on The Voice, it does seem like a perfect time to try something at radio. Though, I don’t know how far out they are from releasing her next full studio album. If they’re close, the lead single from that is probably a smarter choice. I just can’t see her re-signing with MCA to never give radio another shot (though obviously the world events of these last four years delayed those plans, I’m sure). It just seems like a waste if they don’t at least try something with the spotlight from The Voice that she has this season.

I’ve been watching her on the Today show all morning. Her new song is her best in years. I’m so ready for a new album!

This just landed at #1 on iTunes Country & iTunes Songs (all genre) Chart! I believe this is the 1st for her on the iTunes Songs chart! The album just landed at #1 on iTunes Country albums & #2 on iTunes Album (all genre). I expect her to be #1 on that chart by the end of the day. Go Reba!!

This song is just simply amazing. Reba does these types of songs so, so well. The music video broke my heart and really took the song to that next level for me, and I thought it was damn good already before the visual. As others have mentioned, I'm hoping this gets some kind of at least minor/brief push as a single since she's got The Voice promo built-in and surely she could at least chart for a few weeks in the 40s or 50s at minimum, given how her last handful of releases have fared.

Nice touching song. It would be good to see her receive a little radio airplay but it would be a miracle for a 68 year old female.
And while I think she will be a great coach on The Voice when she actually gets to coach, she is too soft for the Blinds. When you’ve had the career she’s had, begging is beneath you but damn these kids want to be told they’re the best thing ever and will be in the finals. I think there were at least a couple that would have chosen her but one of the other judges put up more of a fight. Though I think she has a couple of strong singers I feel her team is collectively among the weakest. But there’s only one winner so it just takes one strong singer.

We may have missed the optimum time for this to go to radio, but this song still really resonates with me. Easily one of the best of the year, imo.
