I think it’s a guaranteed number 1 at least on HAC.

I love Taylor, but this sounds like someone asked an AI to do a Taylor Swift track. Every part of this song reminds me of other Taylor songs.

Agreed. Style, Out of the Woods, and I Know Places are somewhat "generic" as far as their reference material. Meanwhile, Is It Over Now? teeters on slanderous lol.

Can she get to the top before Christmas?
I am still mad I Can See You didn't get a push. It would've probably been another easy pop number one for her and between that, Anti-Hero, Karma, Cruel Summer, and now this, she could've broken the record for most pop radio number ones in a single year.

I think it was supposed to get a push, but Cruel Summer straight up steamrolled it It got a video which wasn't exactly low-budget, and that's far more than Fearless TV or 1989 TV (thus far) got.

I Can See You definitely deserved, easily one of the more innovative and unique vault cuts.

Surprised nobody mentioned this debuted at #1 on the Hot 100 today, becoming Taylor's 11th #1.
I hope this goes all the way to #1 on pop, it's so good. I'm sure she shot a video for one of the vault tracks and it will premiere at one of her shows this weekend? That's what I'm guessing. Now it would be great if it was for this, but it seemed like they wanted to push Slut.

Eh, for me the only thing "I Can See You" had going for it were its verses (which mainly had to do with the production). That dated, Fearless-era chorus wasn't it. Lyrically speaking it was also one of her worst.

So happy to see a vault track looking to be a big hit with longevity! "All Too Well" did amazing ofc, but I can see this outdoing it and perhaps getting multiple weeks at #1 with strong airplay support.
I totally agree about "I Can See You". That could've been a big hit but unfortunately due to Taylor domination there wasn't much time/room between "Cruel Summer" smashing and the 1989 TV being released only a few months later.

Let's add the video to the list of good things about "I Can See You". Loved the theme and the imagery, still sad we didn't get something like that for 1989 (or Fearless).

I Can See You had good production and a good video. Totally forgettable though. The lyrics in the chorus felt rushed and unfinished.
"What would you do, baby, if you only knew? That I can see you"
So clunky and uninspired to me. You could easily chalk it up to her being young. However, on the same album; she wrote the lyrical masterpiece,Dear John.

This is in power at KIIS. I don't know when the last time was that KIIS moved a song into power this quickly.. I remember As It Was got moved to power after just 4 weeks or so, but wow on week 2?!

It's almost surreal to see Taylor back in this position with pop radio, for a while after Lover/folklore/evermore it seemed like we wouldn't get back to this point.

Unreal. Was she even this much of a radio darling during 1989 era?

Unreal. Was she even this much of a radio darling during 1989 era? Her stretch of singles from SIO to BB is very reminiscent of AH to IION, from a chart domination perspective. I love that when I first heard Midnights I pegged the situation as a return to 1989 form. Obviously this is not ALL Midnights and the goodwill buildup of folklore and evermore (and ATW10!) had a lot to do with it.
