don't think there is a thread for this though i saw a few for other versions . the original in the late 40's by Leroy Anderson was a light classical piece and it was also recorded by the Boston Pops. in 1963 The Ronettes best known for the #2 peaking Be My Baby covered this for the Phil Spector Christmas album. the album was not a hit the year of release because of it's release on November 22nd the day JFK was shot . over the years the popularity of the album has grown as it became so influential on modern Christmas music from Mariah and others . this week the song reaches a new peak on Billboard of #8.
