So I straight up thought this was already out.
"World on Fire" is OK, but nothing I would go out of my way to hear. It's a decent generic country-rocker. Lacks a spark tho.

The chart run is getting a little too much, but at least it’s happening to a song I like. Love the powerful production and vocal of the song.

“World On Fire” is garbage. I’m sorry but everything but “Wreckage” I’ve heard from him has sounded like an over produced mess and this getting ten weeks is rather surprising.

The latest Dierks Bentley era came and went, especially when he did not include Gone and Beers on Me in the latest album. Something Real sounds a bit similar to I Hold On, but with more vague lyrics.

"Something Real" feels like autopilot Dierks Bentley... in other words, not a fan.

Just a harmless fun sing-along song that should have peaked much higher than #52 on Billboard country airplay.

This song is fun, and the fact that it flopped with Jon Pardi indicates the end of Midland’s radio career.
Btw, I just saw Midland opening for Jon Pardi, and as much as I like their set list, their vocal performance was quite underwhelming. Curious if anybody else saw them and felt the same way.

It's a double Pardi elimination. Feels like he tried to replicate the success of Dirt on My Boots with some of production choices (the autotune vocals in the bridge) but failed.

Jon Pardi, on the other hand, was fantastic at the concert, and as much as I enjoyed singing along this song, this was one of his weakest singles in the last few years.

My first top 10 loss, and it was looking to finish much higher too. While some people may find this song reductive, I enjoyed the new perspective. Maybe it doesn't need to sound so contemporary compared to the original though.

Could Brothers Osborne go out soon? I like them, but the song was boring as hell.

A sweet song about making "it" and dedicated to his mother. Really surprised this isn't even the second highest Morgan's songs here. Also castle moved this song from being revealed in the next set to today

Yikes, Thought You Should Know easily deserves the top 20. Very well-written song with strong melody. I know some don’t like Wallen’s vocal, but even without bias, I do think he sounds good in this one. Bottom 10 rankings are head scratchers.

Of course the second song with #1 and #100 ranks is among the highest SD in a rankdown. Condolences to George Strait Junkie and LBTrocks for losing your #1. Personally just don't see its appeal. Maybe I based on HARDY's other songs too much but this song reads like a white knight syndrome fantasy.

Wait In The Truck has 10/10 story-teling, but the melody is not my fav + the repetitive "have mercy" got a bit annoying as I play it more.

I thought the story-telling was pretty weak and contrived, but man the instrumentation and melody are top notch. The 'have mercy on me' parts aren't why I love the song so much, it is the AMAZING melody in the chorus and Lainey's phenomenal vocals on it. I knew this wouldn't make top 10 or anything but I was really holding out hope for top 20 :/

Really like Kylie Morgan. Looks like the label is currently flopping with her husband's debut single, but I'm ready for her second single.

So "might be here forever" sounds overly pessimistic. Still appreciate that there are some songs with a storytelling (that is not about breakup and driking) on the country radio tho.

Wait in the truck storytelling is great. The chorus ruins the song for me though. Lainey sounds so out of place on it in a way I can’t fully describe but it’s like the chorus just comes out of nowhere and doesn’t fit the rest of the song. Couple that with my growing resentment of Lainey and this placed a whole lot lower on my list this year than it would have a couple months ago. Huge burn rate for me
