What is the most well known Pop song of all time in the world. I'm not just talking about the USA, I'm talking worldwide. Could it be a Christmas song? Could it be a song from a legendary artist? Could it be a song that was a huge hit?

I'd venture to say the most well known pop song of all time can only be a big hit. Can't imagine how it couldn't be lol.
I seem to recall there actually being a study done and it found that the most instantly recognizable song was actually Wannabe by the Spice Girls. Now "most instantly recognizable" and "most well known" aren't the same thing, but that study is a good jumping off point for this topic.
Others that come to mind (excluding Christmas songs b/c that's just cheating IMO): ...Baby One More Time Billie Jean I Will Always Love You Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Take On Me Yeah!

Is this a pop song, though? Depends on what you mean by popular music.

Is this a pop song, though? It did well on the Pop charts and it's well known around the world. I mean, it's your thread, but you specified pop song. Charting on the pop charts does not make something a pop song. Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" is certainly not pop nor is SZA's "Kill Bill," for example. I would not qualify "Bohemian Rhapsody" as a pop song. It's very much a rock song. Is this a pop song, though? Depends on what you mean by popular music. "popular music" =/= "pop song" Pop a is legitimate genre of music, it's not a term to describe any hit song.

Bohemian Rhapsody made the pop charts in 2 different eras. It was originally released in 1976, and got resurrected in 1992 for being in the Wayne's World movie. It was a decent pop hit in both eras. Even though radio doesn't play rock music in 2023, it did play rock music in 1976 and in 1992.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow or White Christmas
if you're talking about pure pop songs, probably Billie Jean or Thriller.

I don't known if it's pop or AC or folk, but Take Me Home Country Roads is pretty widespread.

Asereje was practically unknown in the US (peaked at #54). It only did that well because Latin radio was on it nonstop.
I would throw Dragostea Din Tei out there as an option too. It was genuinely huge throughout Europe, although the only US exposure it got was a morbidly obese guy dancing to it in a viral video.
