Debuts at #03 in UK Albums Chart! Her highest debut there and also her first Top 5 album! Also debuts at #09 in The Netherlands and New Zealand, her first top 10 albums on both countries!

“Deeper Well” debuts at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 97K units [ 38.06 million on-demand streams | 66,000 pure sales]. It becomes Kacey's biggest sales week ever. The first-week vinyl number is the highest in 2024 so far and fourth largest for a country album (top three are Taylor Swift re-recordings).

Dammit, she was SOOOOOO close to #1 in the US. Still a huge win for her because her popularity is only going to continue to grow in the streaming era. Amazing sales!

“Deeper Well” the song is predicted to debut at #76 on the Hot 100 this week. Her 4th solo charting song. It reaches a new peak of #17 on Hot Country Songs. Also on HCS, “Too Good To Be True” re-enters and reaches a new peak of 29, plus “Cardinal” debuts at 33 and “The Architect” at 38.

You just love to see it. This record deserves all the success. Won’t be shocked to see Grammy nominations next year.

I'd imagine she'll get the usual three nominations in the country field this year. No way they re-classify this album as pop or whatever like they did with Star-Crossed. An AOTY nomination isn't out of the question depending on what kind of legs this has. The question will be what they end up submitting to Country Performance and Country Song. My vote is "The Architect."

My vote is "The Architect." Since “The Architect” is the country radio single, that would make sense. The only other thing I could imagine would be “Deeper Well” since it’s technically the lead promotional single and has been doing the best on streaming. It’ll be interesting to see if “Cardinal” or something else gets submitted to any of the folk/americana categories.

I wanted to rank all the songs but I…can’t? “Moving Out” is my least favorite and it’s like a 9/10 still lol. But my current top five is: Cardinal Sway Dinner With Friends Giver/Taker The Architect

I have the same "problem" here. Also, this album has no skips for me... it flows SO WELL as a whole record. Objectively, I don't think it reaches the highest highs of Golden Hour or Same Trailer, but at the same time I love EVERYTHING here, which isn't the case for any of Kacey's past albums, all of which have 2-3 tracks that I usually either skip or feel like they are not on par with the rest of the record. The few songs that didn't hit me at first, now I love and feel like they are integral to the whole listening experience of this project.

I feel the exact same except I also feel like “Golden Hour” has no skips. I’d firmly place this third in her discography for me, but GH and STDP are my two favorite albums of all-time so… Also really hoping “Ruthless” is available widely soon so everyone can appreciate it as much as it deserves to be loved

It amazing how more than a decade into her career she is opening with bigger numbers than her previous releases when most are seeing less numbers. There’s something wholesome about this album, I wish her more success down the road.

This is my favorite album of Kacey's. Not even a question. I don't know why this particular style hits me the way it is, but her simple, intimate vocals paired with this instrumentation. There are also a lot of small, sonic details scattered throughout the album. Immaculately conceived, produced, and delivered. Album of the Year material.

Yeah this album is so, so excellent. I can’t stop listening to it.
Speaking of, happy 6th birthday to the perfection that is Golden Hour. A body of work that I truly believe will live in the same breath as so many other legendary records as the years go by.

I consider it the greatest album ever made—or at least, the greatest album made this century. And I was born in 2000 so make of that what you will lol Happy birthday Golden Hour you will always be famous xoxo

Can't believe that Golden Hour is already six years old. Those pandemic years really did warp all sense of time. Listening to GH, it still feels as fresh as ever. Easily my favorite album of all-time.
Ironically, yesterday was also ELEVEN years since Kacey's Grand Ole Opry debut. I only remember this because I was there and I got to meet her. It was shortly after Same Trailer, Different Park came out and by then I was already all in on Kacey as an artist because of how much I loved "Merry Go 'Round" (still my all-time favorite song) and "Follow Your Arrow" (this meant SO MUCH to little closeted gay me) so I bought the album t-shirt along with the pre-order of the album. I wore the shirt to the Opry and she said it was the first time she'd seen a fan wearing her merch. I think she meant this new merch for this album, but 20 year old me was her biggest fan since that day. Still unbelievable the amount of success she's seen since then, but every ounce of it has been deserved!

The very end of “Anime Eyes” is like a sprinkling of crack on the end of the song.

Kacey has selected a couple additional tracks to include on a deluxe album release later in the year.

I need Ruthless to be given the single/mv treatment. I know it doesn't necessarily have the same vibe as the rest of the songs but god is it such an excellent song.

A month after release, here's my revolving door of a ranking.
01. Cardinal 02. Sway 03. Anime Eyes 04. Dinner With Friends 05. Giver/Taker 06. Jade Green 07. Deeper Well 08. The Architect 09. Heart of the Woods 10. Heaven Is 11. Lonely Millionaire 12. Too Good to Be True 13. Nothing to be Scared Of 14. Moving Out
I have the top 11 like on constant repeat, still like the others a lot. I know recency is a thing but damn if this isn't going to end up being my absolute favorite album of hers, and the way this works as a trilogy to the last two is just perfection.

I think I'll need a couple more months before attempting to rank this album

These are four of my faves as well. Genuinely loving this stripped-down album, and it feels so much more authentic than star-crossed (which still had its moments). The first few listens sounded same-y, but it opened up for me and I like every song here. So give it a few more listens if you haven’t. The Architect is god-tier and Kacey at her best. For me, she’s one of those special artists where less is usually more. She just has this beautiful sense of perspective and is able to say things in ways that make me exhale and feel at peace in the world. I find her music and voice so calming. Can’t wait to see her live in just over two weeks.

Deeper Well drops a little bit on the BB200 in its fourth week, coming in at #70 (2-21-56-70). I don’t know why I am so surprised that this is holding steady, but keep it up Kacey (and fans).

What songs are we expecting her to play from past albums compared to DW tracks?
