Why is this charting on Dance? Are there some club mixes I missed?

This continues to grow on me. I think this will still somehow get to #1 on Pop, although I think it'll have a run similar to Karma and Is It Over Now.

It's about to lose its bullet. Had no idea it slowed down this much.

wondering if callouts is really THAT bad because it's still doing well in streaming, and none of her other songs are making gains that would justify slowing this one down this much

There's some sort of vendetta against her there.

There's some sort of vendetta against her there. pretty sure that's been the case since reputation era. iirc delicate's callouts were pretty mediocre too, so i think radio pd's would take scores for taylor with a few more grain of salt by now. so if this stalls bc of callouts it must be REALLY bad, though we cant say for certain if that's really the case

Aren't callouts usually bad for any and all popular females? Talk about an useless metric unless combined with some others.
I'm sure this tanked on other feedback channels, not just the callouts we see. Kinda sad to see her waste all the radio goodwill from Midnights/IION/Cruel Summer on this but tbh there aren't many stronger choices on the project. I do think they owe "...Broken Heart" a chance at least.

I don't hear anything that radio might spam for months but hype alone could carry them into top 10 if that's what you mean by good choices. ICDWABH is popping on streaming so it's their best choice imo but if that doesn't work they can folkmore this era in terms of radio and focus on the (still amazing several weeks after debuting) album sales.

I think that she should do Broken Heart and then Down Bad and end the era. 3 singles is good because then she can move on to Rep TV whenever.

A selfish part of me wants "So High School" as a single but I agree with ICDIWABH and Down Bad in either order as singles. This album doesn't have that many songs that would be good as singles imo so no need to drag it out more than necessary.

It would flop miserably, but I would love Clara Bow as a single just to see its video with Taylor dressed as a 1920s flapper and a 1970s rock star, then conclude with recreation of the Eras tour for the final act.
If not that, Broken Heart followed by Down Bad would make a great 1-2 punch. S
Any more singles would not be needed afterwards since they're probably going to on to Reputation TV at the end of the year, and that should give them more radio-friendly singles to push. Still, So High School and especially Guilty As Sin would also work well as singles.
I also would not be surprised if this year they actually end up giving August the Cruel Summer treatment too.

I would be very surprised if Down Bad and ICDIWABH aren't the singles. But if there is a fourth one I would love for it to be So High School, it being included on the setlist does give me a little hope

I would love Guilty as Sin as a single, but Down Bad would be awesome as well.
I feel like Broken Heart has a Bejeweled quality where people would get sick of it pretty fast.

also cruel summer is still smashing on radio which often hurts new singles. plus now they are so many smashing pop singles unlike in the doldrum winter months.
is what it is . a fortnight at the top for fornight was perfect.

I’m biased as I love it but I think Guilty as Sin is her safest bet for the next radio single. I don’t know why but ICDIWAB reminds me too much of Me! and LWYMMD, and I can’t see radio doing much with it. I feel for the summer, Down Bad is too slow and moody, like this

I still think "ICDIWABH" has the highest burn-factor potential out of any of the single favorites. That chorus, though catchy, can easily become annoying/grating if played too much. I still think "Down Bad" has that catchy chorus that is a lot more palatable and would be the ideal single choice (especially given its been received nearly as well as "ICDIWABH"). I can see a case for "Guilty As Sin" as well, but it feels like more of a later single to me if at all. Watch her choose something random as hell like "Whose Afraid Of Little Old Me?" 🙄🤭

I expect “Down Bad” next but “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys” sounds like a smash to me.

I would love it if Guilty As Sin ended up becoming a single. It's my favorite of the poppier songs from the album, and probably the most accessible and relatable of them.
I LOVE Fortnight, it's one of my favorite leads by Taylor, but I do agree with everyone who said it's not really an accessible, "pop perfection" song like her previous smashes. It's not an instant song, but a grower, much like the whole album, something I've seen echoed by many people here and elsewhere, and it makes sense to me. TTPD is arguably her hardest album to get into. It's not avant-garde or anything, but most of its lyrics aren't really that relatable and easy to talk about. In fact, without the context of the songs and the album, and sometimes of Taylor's previous albums including her debut, many lines just seem bizarre, ridiculous and out-of-place, probably the reason many were sharing weird lyrics from the songs when the album leaked.
And this is the reason this song is probably not going to be a huge radio smash. It's a hit, sure, but it's just not as instant, catchy and easily digestible as her biggest hits, and that's okay too. Not every song has to be a huge smash, and Fortnight has already done better than I thought it would lol.
I wonder if she'll eventually try sending songs to different formats like she did with Folklore and Evermore. While Country is probably out of consideration for now, I can see several songs from The Anthology fitting nicely on Alt and AAA, and So High School could do a bit of damage in both Alt and HAC while getting a top 20 on Pop like Cardigan and Willow. But that's unlikely now, not like any of her songs has been huge at Country for more than a decade, or sent at all to Alt. Would be fun to follow its run, though.

She should’ve still been sending singles from Midnights (Midnight Rain or Bejewled) to radio at this point. TTPD is excellent as a full body of work but has zero smash hits, zero catchy hooks. She could’ve waited until October like her other albums especially with how much of a winter album this is.
