Anyway this album is bombing right now. #163 on US Apple Music albums chart with 18 songs has to be one of the worst performances for a major label country album this year. Don't think it's going to perform well on other streaming services either so this album may miss Billboard 200. Kenny Chesney basically stole the attention for major label country albums this week.

The album is your typical Chris Young album: not a lot of interesting songs that are below average in quality, elevated in some cases to be average or even above-average thanks to Chris Young's solid vocal skills and some decently strong melodies. A lot of the record just kinda runs together though as his full-lengths tend to do, but nothing is outright horrible here (i.e. "Aw Naw"). Just a pleasant enough, but unmemorable listen. The sterile production on his songs continue to be the main detriment to me fully enjoying his music; I miss the days when his stuff was laden with fiddle and steel, instead of permeated by loud drum machines.

Yeah, an 18-song album with *his* style of the past decade is just ... something I only got about halfway through before giving up. "All Dogs Go to Heaven" was decent enough and gave me hope for the rest, but alas.

It's crazy how we've gotten to the point where so few country artists are able to even chart well anymore with new releases. It's only a select few that can seem to even do well enough to make the top 10 these days on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart...

Yeah he’ll go down as one of those “what could’ve been” types. Those first few albums had him primed for an unbelievable career but boy did he ditch that sound. The fact he has an incredible voice and I can’t tell him apart from anyone else is sad

I like the album mainly because he’s one of my favorite voices ever. Whether the album has any big hits or not it still was a good listen for me.

I think he will be kept baring he continues to get decent airplay; his current single is doing pretty well. If he starts declining at radio I think him and Sony will part ways. He's one of the older artists on the label. Only other person signed longer is Brooks and Dunn.
