Seems like we finally got a radio single for JPEG RAW, and that "Maktub" was a promo single. Goes for AAA adds on April 1 (not an April Fool joke).

Props to him getting his 2nd highest charting song with this, but I'm not really feeling this one, unfortunately. They honestly should have pushed Hyperwave earlier as it is one of the catchiest songs I've heard from him. I get why the stations went for Maktub instead as it's closer to his blues-y sound, but it's not as melodic as Hyperwave.

Yeah, still not feeling this either a month later. Revisiting this, it sounds like the instrumental would slot perfectly into a commercial for prescription medicine. 💀
I want to know the logic behind pushing this and not something like "Habits" (which had an edit ready to go), besides more accessibility and/or riding the nostalgia wave with Stevie Wonder's presence.
