Matt, the follow-up to "Ooh It's Kinda Crazy" was "Gravity".
The following were from when my chart was top 40 only:
Shawn Mullins - Lullaby His follow-up must've been quite forgettable, because I don't even remember it!
Everlast - What It's Like See above.
Celine Dion - That's The Way It Is "I Want You To Need Me" didn't chart.
Santana f/Product G&B - Maria Maria Was there another single after this?
Sisqo - The Thong Song "Incomplete" didn't chart.
Crazy Town - Butterfly See Shawn Mullins and Everlast.
City High - What Would You Do? "Caramel" didn't chart.
Staind - It's Been Awhile They didn't return until "Epiphany", and by that time my chart had expanded to 100 positions.
U2 - Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of Did they even have another single after this?
The following were songs that had the follow-up make my top 100, but not top 40.
Jimmy Eat World - The Middle "Sweetness" peaked in the 40's.
Dave Matthews Band - Where Are You Going? "Grey Street" peaked in the 50's.
Santana f/Chad Kroeger - Why Don't You & I "Nothing At All" peaked in the 40's.
Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not The One "Never Gonna Leave Your Side" peaked in the 40's.
The following had a follow-up miss my top 40, but did get another #1:
3 Doors Down - When I'm Gone "The Road I'm On" peaked in the 50's, but "Here Without You" is currently #1.
As for songs that have yet to be followed up: Nickelback - Someday will likely get a successful follow-up Liz Phair - Why Can't I unsure 3 Doors Down - Here Without You if another single is released, it'll likely do well

Santana f/Chad Kroeger - Why Don't You & I"Nothing At All" peaked in the 40's. "Nothing At All" followed "The Game Of Love," but I just realized you did that on purpose because Canada played "Why Don't You & I" earlier.

Santana f/Product G&B - Maria MariaWas there another single after this? Crazy Town - ButterflySee Shawn Mullins and Everlast. Shawn Mullins had "Shiver"; I believe it was a #41 pop hit. Everlast's followup was "Ends", which I think would have hit if it had been released to pop. I don't think he even released another song to CHR until "Stand Up", which bombed. As for Santana, "Love Of My Life (featuring Dave Matthews)", "Do You Like The Way (featuring Lauryn Hill & Cee-Lo)", "Corazon Espinado (featuring Mana)", and "Wishing It Was (featuring Eagle-Eye Cherry)" all received airplay at various formats. Crazy Town's followup was "Revolving Door", which bombed everywhere, and I never even heard it.

great...3 replies within 5 minutes, and I was last. "Put Your Lights On", which ironically featured Everlast. Actually that was released to the rock formats before anyone even touched "Maria Maria".

Crazy Town's followup was "Revolving Door", which bombed everywhere, and I never even heard it. It hit like #48 on Gavin's Alternative chart. I don't think the song was as horrible as others who I've seen comment on the song thought.

I'm probably the only American on the boards who's heard "Gravity" and "Let's Do It Right". Red Hot Chili Peppers "Can't Stop"Apparently, the people at KNDD didn't know they released a followup to this, since I never heard "Dosed" there. Plus, the lack of a video sealed its fate, and it didn't make the top 40. :'( Daniel Bedingfield "Gotta Get Thru This""James Dean" came close, though. t.A.T.u. "All The Things She Said"I still haven't heard "Not Gonna Get Us" (except for a remix) Nine Days "If I Am"Was there a followup? "Good Friend" failed to chart.

Jerzee Monet - "Most High" "Work It Out" failed to make the chart.
Brandy - "Full Moon" "He Is" missed the chart.
DJ Sammy - "Boys Of Summer" "Sunlight" didn't chart, but still might.

It's Kinda Crazy" came after "No One Does It Better" (Canadian-Only release).I don't think the song was as horrible as others who I've seen comment on the song thought. The combination of the video *and* the song was though.
As for my own chart, it only happened once. Nelly hit #1 with both "Hot In Herre" and "Dilemma" (featuring Kelly Rowland), while "Air Force Ones" (featuring Kyjuan, Ali & Murphy Lee) failed to chart.

I'm probably the only American on the boards who's heard "Gravity" and "Let's Do It Right". WRONG! You forgot me - the OTHER American who watched Much when it was available. (Damn Fuse! I want Much back! ) *checks chart archives* IIO - Rapture (Tastes So Sweet): Was there a follow-up? If there was, it didn't chart. Shakira - Objection (Tango): "The One" didn't even come close. Faith Hill - Cry: I don't know the exact follow-up due to the difference among formats, but she hasn't charted since "Cry". Ones who have yet to release a follow-up: JC Chasez - Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love) Avril Lavigne - Tomorrow (OK, so maybe this doesn't really count. ;)) Kelly Clarkson - Low (Ditto, only for a much different reason) Ones whose follow-up could still chart: Jewel - Intuition (haven't heard "Stand" yet) Jason Mraz - The Remedy (I Won't Worry) (haven't heard "You & I Both" either) Michelle Branch - Are You Happy Now? (I expect "Breathe" to debut next week)

IIO - Rapture (Tastes So Sweet): Was there a follow-up? If there was, it didn't chart. I charted "At the End", but I don't know if it was released in the USA.

The biggest example for me is probably Meredith Brooks who I don't think followed up 'Lay Down' with anything... unless it was with 'Shout'.

Maybe it's because of the page counter thing you put up on the main page.

LOL I'm glad you guys posted that you noticed that. I was thinking it was only my computer, which has been acting weirder than weird lately. (But I just called my Dad and asked him to buy me a new computer and he said he will! )

Wow...about 1 & 1/2 years idle. Let's see... Ones who have yet to release a follow-up: Kelly Clarkson - Low (Ditto, only for a much different reason) "The Trouble With Love Is" didn't chart, so "Low" can be added. Ones whose follow-up could still chart: Jewel - Intuition (haven't heard "Stand" yet) Jason Mraz - The Remedy (I Won't Worry) (haven't heard "You & I Both" either) Michelle Branch - Are You Happy Now? (I expect "Breathe" to debut next week) So can "Intuition". "You and I Both" hit #10 and "Breathe" hit #4. And then there's... Nickelback "Someday" (sort of) - The rock follow-up, "Figured You Out", missed the chart - something I still regret. The pop/Hot AC follow-up, "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good", hit #6. Nelly Furtado "Powerless (Say What You Want)" - I never heard "Try". Evanescence "My Immortal" - "Everybody's Fool" did not chart. Ryan Cabrera "On the Way Down" - "True" was only average. Songs too recent to say for sure yet: Switchfoot "Dare You to Move" - but I suspect it'll only be a matter of time before this joins the list, seeing as how I still haven't heard "This is Your Life". Avril Lavigne "Nobody's Home" - but this will be the last from Under My Skin, won't it? Green Day "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" Frankie J Featuring Baby Bash "Obsession (No Es Amor)"
