For some people (Bryan) this should take 2 seconds, others (Steve) it will be the longest list they ever make. Which songs topped your personal chart, but never made the pop top 40?
My list:
Celine Dion - The Power of the Dream (1996) Donna Lewis & Richard Marx - At the Beginning (1998) Rockell & Collage - Can't We Try (1998) Stars on 54 - If You Could Read My Mind (1999) Anggun - Snow on the Sahara (1999) Spice Girls - Goodbye (1999) Donna Summer - The Power of One (2001) Enya - Wild Child (2002) Faith Hill - Cry (2003) Celine Dion - I Surrender (2003) Celine Dion - Have You Ever Been in Love (2003) Shania Twain - Forever & For Always (2003) Clay Aiken - This is the Night (2003)

Happens nearly all the time on my chart. I'd say the split is probably 50/50 between songs that make it and songs that don't. Last year was probably the biggest difference since for about 30 straight weeks, Canadian songs topped my chart.

"Wish I Didn't Miss You," Angie Stone I oddly liked this song alot. It had a certain mood to it and it reminded me of being in Boston at night :-/lol... The went for adds Nov. 11? Right?? [or was the Rhyth.?] If it did...it only has 15 TOTAL pop spins...id say its unfortunately going nowhere

This year: Red Hot Chilli Peppers - "Can't Stop" Sarah McLachlan - "Fallen" Most of my #1's made the Pop Top 40 but peaked pretty low there. "This Twice" ~ Eve 6 "Stand" ~ Jewel I wish these 2 songs got to #1 on mine too! "Think Twice" was on track to go to #1, but the week it was set to make its big jump was my Fall Break... so when I'm home the songs on my chart are more influenced by radio than they are when I'm at school, where my chart is more influenced by mp3's. And "Think Twice" was one of my most played mp3's for a long time! "Stand" is #2 on my chart right now but it won't be able to get past Sarah before Blink does.

Mariah Carey / Nas / Joe - "Thank God I Found You (Make It Last Forever)" Orgy - "Blue Monday" Those did make the top 40... unless you count Mariah's song as the original that made the top 40.

Only one song that failed to chart in the CHR/POP top 40 has reached #1 on my chart...
"Amsterdam (Gonna Write You A Letter)" - Guster (2003)
"You and I Both" has a good shot of becoming #1 on my chart in the next few weeks.. so if it fails to hit the Pop Top 40, that will likely become the second non-top 40 #1 for me.

For some people (Bryan) this should take 2 seconds, others (Steve) it will be the longest list they ever make. Which songs topped your personal chart, but never made the pop top 40? My list: Celine Dion - The Power of the Dream (1996) ... Clay Aiken - This is the Night (2003) WAY WAY TOO many to name. From the past 2 months alone, most have been obscure or not top 40/mainstream. NOTE: My chart is bi-weekly: February 3 to March 31 Like Toy Soldiers - Eminem Ecstacy - ATB Love Is An Arrow - Aberfeldy 24 - Jem Eleanor - Low Millions The Weekend - Michael Gray Dirty Laundry - Lisa Marie Presley Helena - My Chemical Romance Helena - My Chemical Romance Us - Regina Spektor Put'em High - Stonebridge f/ Therese Empty Souls - Manic Street Preachers One Thing - Amerie Fallen Stars - Sunset Stripperz Different - Acceptance If You Don't Know Me By Now - Aubrey Shiver - Natalie Imbruglia ... Other than Eminem and possibly Amerie, the other number ones are definitely above top 40. So, for me, it's impossible to name them, considering most of my number ones are likely to be dance, indie, rock, pop that flopped, or international singles.
