I'm not talking about songs that "bubbled under" and only missed scraping the bottom of your chart for a week. I mean, are there any songs that slipped under the radar for you, that you were never into while they were out, and now you're kicking yourself? Which songs SHOULD'VE been a hit on your chart, but didn't even make it on the list?
Here's mine:
1. Starsailor* - "Four to the Floor" Should've been: Top 5 2. Story of the Year - "Until the Day I Die" Should've been: Top 5 3. Janet Jackson - "I Want You" Should've been: Top 10 4. Robbie Williams* - "Sexed Up" Should've been: Top 15 5. Anastacia* - "Left Outside Alone" Should've been: Top 15 6. The Darkness* - "Love Is Only A Feeling" Should've been: Top 20 7. Sugarcult - "Memory" Should've been: Top 20
* = Songs popular when I was in Italy, but wasn't into at the time (or in Starsailor's case just didn't hear enough).... but got into since I was home (mostly for nostalgic reasons) and now really like.
Story of the Year and Janet didn't chart for the opposite reason, I was gone when they were out here.
Sugarcult just simply flew under the radar and wasn't detected til it was too late!

Interesting topic. I have a top 100, so I wind up charting just about anything I like even a little bit... but there were some songs I got into pretty late like the Postal Service's "Such Great Heights". It charted, but missed the top 50 mostly because it was already pretty old at the time.

Gavin Degraw's "Follow Through" although that might count more towards 2003.

A.F.I. - Head Like a Hole -- Don't think this was actually a single, but I liked it and definetly would have charted it had it been a single. Anberlin - Ready Fuels -- Didn't hear this until long after the song had come and gone. It wasn't really a hit anywhere else anyway. Brandnew - The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows -- Pretty much ignored this one, and didn't recognized its sheer awesomeness (word?) until it was too late. Frou Frou - Let Go -- Didn't hear this one at all until last week, so it never charted. John Legend - Used to Love U -- One of the few good hip-hop songs this year, and I didn't know of its existence until long after it had come and gone. Pillar - Bring Me Down -- Decent christian-rock song. Not sure if it deserved to chart, but I figured I'd put it here anyway. Thursday - War All the Time -- Amazing song. Would've gone #1 had I heard it when it was actually a single. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Y-Control -- Same as the Pillar song. It was okay, but I just didn't particularly care enough to chart it.

Christina Milian-Dip it Low Bowling for Soup-1985
Well they would not have been #1 hits, but I would have at least charted them top 20 if I had liked them when they first came out. I started liking them so late it seems ridiculous to chart them now.
I have just started to like Vertigo...I think I will chart that one now-maybe not as high as if I had originally liked it, but it doesnt feel ancient to me yet.

Jay-Z - 99 Problems Evanescence - Everybody's Fool Nickelback - Figured You Out New Found Glory - All Downhill From Here Audioslave - We Got The Whip Beastie Boys - Right Right Now Now
more: Papa Roach - Getting Away With Murder A Perfect Circle - Blue (I've only heard this twice, both times on KFNK. The first time there was way too much static to hear what was going on, and the second time was just now and I wasn't even paying attention to it until it was IDed when it ended, but there was no excuse for KNDD snubbing it. I'm afraid "Passive" will go in the 2005 topic if nobody out here gets on the ball with it.)
I might make a top 26 list eventually since I only had 174 songs chart this year. Similarly, I might include the top 8 of 2002 and the top 20 of 2003.

The only one I can think of is "Figured You Out". I really like the song, even more than FWTDG (which peaked at #6!), and I happen to own the album, but...I dunno, I guess I let the fact that I was only hearing it on the radio on occasion take precedence.
