Wasnt sure if this was the right forum but here it goes. 2004 wasn't a bad year for music but it wasn't the best either. It didn't take long for me to listen to the #1 of the year though. I had a full copy of it weeks before the release date thanx to Adonis . Anyway here we go
Number 10
Usher "Confession" I hated it for half the year. But looking back there were many times this cd was playing in the back. Having huge hits like "Yeah" and "Burn" doesnt hurt either
Number 9
Wilson Phillips "California" This is a really good collection of covers. Some they are awesome on ("You're No Good" , "Go Your Own Way") and some they are only margainal ("California")
Number 8
Korn "Greatest Hits Volume 1" I don't think I should've had this on my year end chart but I couldn't deny the fact that I listen to it all the time and the two new tracks "Word Up" and "Another Brick In The Wall" are two of my favorite covers of 04. (and there were alot of covers in 04 :o )
Number 7
Daniel Bedingfield "Second First Impression" I'm not even sure if this was even officially released yet. But it is brillant. Not as catchy as his first release but he conquers songwriting in a way that surprises me.
Number 6
Jessica Simpson "In This Skin Reissued" I didn't buy the cd until they reissued it with TMBA and "Angels" and I didn't know what I was missing. This is actually a really good cd. Probably as good as her debut.
Number 5
Rammstein "Reise Reise" I just love everything they touch. I didn't expect two killer singles right off the bat though ("Amerika" & "Mein Teil") I'd boldy say this is their 2nd best only behind "Sehnsucht"
Number 4
Kylie Minogue "Body Language" I don't care what any of the haters say this was an awesome record. It helps that "Red Blooded Woman" is now my favorite Kylie song of all time
Number 3
Brandy "Afrodisiac" Probably the best album she has ever put out. It is a shame how it bombed. Both the title track and "I Tried" deserved to be singles
Number 2
Destiny's Child "Destiny's Fulfilled" At first listen I was rather disappointed in the girls. But it didn't take long for me to jump on the bandwagon. "Solider" is the longest running #1 of 2004. If "Through With Love" does not get released it will be a travesty
Number 1
Janet "Damita Jo" Alot of people disliked this cd but I thought it was brillant. Alot better than "All For You" and even "The Velvet Rope". It's a shame nipple gate spoiled this. It could've been a huge album
