I think the same thing happened this time last year too and resulted in an expansion from The HOT 15 to The HOT 18 and then The HOT 19. Anyway, I've got too many bulleted new songs rising on my personal chart and not enough regulars slowing down at this point. I'm gonna try to wait it out and not expand yet but holla back if you've got the same dilemma...

My chart did have a logjam in the 11-20 range, but it has since cleared out somewhat.

My top 5 is currently a logjam. 3 months ago I had to "settle" for a #1 I wasn't even too enthusiastic about. Now any of my Top 5 songs are #1-worthy and would have easily been #1 3 months ago(and the current #1 is still gaining in week 7 at the top).

Not at all. It's very uneventful and songs are getting higher than they should.

Not at all.ย It's very uneventful and songs are getting higher than they should. Mine is the exact opposite, haha. See, I did my last chart of 2004 2 or 3 weeks before the end of the actual year. I didnt actually look at my chart again until into the first week of January. What happened is that I built up a ton of songs I wanted to debut on my chart so when I looked at it again, newer songs and debuts are flying upwards. In order to do so, I have to drop older songs faster than I normally would have (except for a select few) I like trying to mix it up as much as possible though-new year, new songs

Right now, the top 5 on my chart are pretty solid, but below that up until about #20-25, it's fairly weak. The Exies are about to hit the top 10 with a song that I like, but isn't really that great. I'm trying to get some of the "new blood" below the top 20 up the chart as fast as possible. But besides my top 2 (Jimmy Eat World and the Killers), the only real #1 contender on my chart is "Mockingbird" (which rose 26-16 on last week's chart).

Nope, not really. I'm just waiting for a bunch of killer singles that I really enjoy to come along, but it's really been blah so far.
As said earlier by someone else, songs are getting higher than they should. And sometimes, songs stall because I'm not ready to drop some due to the fact that there aren't many debuting and I don't want weaker songs to get too high.

It seems like I always have a logjam or two. I want all my songs to rank higher than they are.
