Well in an exiting week on PT40. We have lots of great things to tell you about. Natalie has been No.1 for three weeks now. But does she remain on top, or does Alicia or someone else climb in to the top spot? ::)Remember if a song falls out of No.1 it can go back there again. Nine songs have done this in the last eleven years on PT40. So if Natalie falls soon “Goin’ Crazy” could reclaim the No.1 spot again. Alicia has been gaining popularity each week, so it will be interesting to see who’s on top next week. :) Game and Killers may be seeing their first top five hits soon.
Elsewhere we had four debuts the highest a re-entry by Howie Day. Fans can’t get enough of Bowling For Soup, and American Hi-Fi, as they have two of the most requested hits in the land. We predict they could be top ten within two of three weeks. :)
We will be posting the answer to the trivia question we asked last week. In case you missed it, the question was between 2000 and 2005 what song holds the record for spending the most weeks at the No.2 spot on the pop chart, for a song that peaked at No.2? Check out the answer on our site on Monday. We had a tie for this week’s biggest mover. The first by Will Smith who is finally moving up the chart, the other is Akon. Both songs climb 8 spots this week. Will is at No.24. Akon No.19. Great job guys.
What’s the hottest new song out on radio? Here’s our PT40 hot pick of the week. This week were predicting that The Black Eyed Peas will enter the chart with their new song called “Don’t Phunk With My Heart.” Their last hit “Lets Get it Started” went to No.3 so we think this one will do well. Also look for a number one song from the 80’s to reappear on the chart in a 2005 dance remake by the same band that originally did it.
Before we go just wanted to tell you about a really great site I found. It’s called Rock Me Radio. Their a Internet radio station who plays three streams of live music 24-7. You can check it out and hear streams of music for Country, 70’s, 80’s retro, and Modern Rock. Check it out at rockmeradio.com. or click on this link. Rock Me Radio They play really great music, check it out. Be sure to check back again next time for the 40 biggest hits in the USA. Till next week, have a nice one. :)
