Is it Augustana- "Boston"? It's gotta be. Even though it's picking up now, it was released way back then (according to Wikipedia...)

Here's another clue.
6) Clue #3: When I heard the song's radio debut, I was living in Fort Collins, CO.

"Remember the Name," Fort Minor No. In fact, I never heard that song. 6) Clue #4: I guess I made the last three clues too difficult. They must have been too high above you.

high james blunt - it was released autmn 2005 Nope. Before I reveal the final clue, let's try to synthesize the other ones. Clue #1 - The title of the song alludes to an object or thing that may make you think of a certain U.S. city, but this band is not from there. Clue #2 - Self-sufficient really. The song came out originally in 2005, but since it is on my 2006 year-end chart at such a high position, that means that the song didn't take off on mainstream radio until 2006. Clue #3 - When I heard the song's debut, I was still in Colorado. The debut was the "world premiere" by a local station since (you guessed it) the band is from Colorado! Clue #4 - This clue is intended to get you to the title of the song. It was supposed to lead you to a common phrase that people may use when concepts or ideas are not understood. It's usually accompanied with a hand gesture (a non-profane one ;) ).

^Yay! #6 is indeed The Fray - Over My Head (Cable Car).
5) A wintry video appropriately captures the message of this song.

Time for another hint.
4) Clue #2: The last clue was supposed to clue you into a verse of this song. But maybe if I try another clue where I insert the name of a former Hot AC-only song by this artist, you will get it.

3. "Move Along," All-American Rejects (?) TWO FOR TWO!!! Of course, you figured it out from the "secret" part, in reference to AAR's lead single, Dirty Little Secret. I'll post the clue for #2 tomorrow.

2) Stone Sour, "Through Glass" (I know I'm probably wrong, but that was the first thing that came to mind) Considering that I hate this song and cringe everytime I hear it on the radio, I say no. ;)

Unwritten Natasha Beddingfield? YES! The first clue was in reference to the lyric "Open up the dirty window." And here we are. Almost time to reveal the #1 song on my countdown! First, let's look back in time at the other #1s from years past. 1999* - Sometimes by Britney Spears 2000 - That's The Way It Is - Celine Dion 2001 - Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me) by Train 2002 - A New Day Has Come by Celine Dion 2003 - Unwell by matchbox twenty 2004 - Dare You To Move by Switchfoot 2005 - I Don't Want To Be by Gavin DeGraw And for kicks, here are the #2 hits: 1999* - I Want It That Way by Backstreet Boys 2000 - Oops! I Did It Again by Britney Spears 2001 - Hanging By A Moment by Lifehouse 2002 - Wherever You Will Go by The Calling 2003 - In Da Club by 50 Cent 2004 - This Love by Maroon 5 2005 - Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson *My chart started in July 1999, so this song was based on charts from July 1999 - December 1999. Are you ready for the last clue? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1) Guess!
