So I found myself listening to a few of her tracks this week (inspired by my trip to Jamaica no doubt) and figured I would see what everyone else thinks of her.
She's basically a one hit wonder, with 'Shy Guy' from her first album, and the Bad Boys Soundtrack. Great song, IMO.
I'm not that familiar with her first album, but she also got some buzz with her reggae version of 'Say A Little Prayer' from the soundtrack for My Best Friends Wedding.
Her second album started off with 'L-L-Lies', which sounded a bit too much like 'Shy Guy' I thought, although it was still a great song.
I ended up buying her second album (Think Like A Girl) on a whim, and there are some REALLY good tracks on there, the best being 'Wicked' and 'New Girlfriend'.
Of course no one bought her second album, and I'm sure she was dropped from her recording contract cause I haven't heard a thing about her in several years.
Anyone else familiar with her work? She has an amazing voice and still manages to give her songs some real Jamaican flavor, a really good balance between dancehall/reggae and pop.

I loved "Shy Guy" back in '95. Great club song also. Haven't heard the track for a long time.
Never really thought much of "Lies' or "I Say A Little Prayer" though.

The next release from her 2nd album was "Find My Way Back." The remix was amazing, and got played heavily in Miami!
"Tenderness" from that album was good too.
She released a song in 2002 called Summer Breezin' which didn't do much.
