I really hope not. However, I think she can save face by not giving her opinion and just saying that the courts should be left to decide.

The allegations a decade ago sure didn't hurt Janet's career at that time (see: janet.)... so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say she'll come out just fine this time, too.

She'll be fine. She's managed to keep a surprisingly clean public image despite all the weirdness surrounding her family.

I agree with the above posts. There's no reason for this incident to affect Janet's success at all. People's impressions of Janet will not change because of what Michael has done.
Not that people's impressions of Michael have changed because of what Michael has done...

I have no doubt in my mind that this will end MJ's career but I doubt it will have any backlash against Janet. She has done a very good job of keeping away from the family drama. Plus I think Janet is a much more respected figure in entertainment. She's not like the rest of her wacked out family.

LOL at the assumption that MJ's career isn't over already.
As for Janet she doesn't even talk to anyone in her family anymore, so it's not like anyone really associates her with them anymore. She's made more than enough of a name for herself.

It won't hurt her no matter what. Even if she were to defend Michael, I think people would forgive her even if he's guilty since it is her brother.

Aaron said it best: look at the allegations from a decade ago. janet still became a successful album and would've been without the controversy. I'm sure the media will try to hound her about it, but Michael's alleged actions shouldn't rub off unto his little sister.

It won't hurt her one bit. She doesn't even use her last name anymore. But I wish it would.. anything to get her off the radio please.

She doesn't even use her last name anymore. I think she only went by "Janet" on The Velvet Rope; since then I think she's used her last name also. But I agree that this crap with Michael won't affect her. |

I dont think so. They never have in the past...and it seems like shes from a whole different family. She seems so down-to-earth, nice, and 'normal'.
