And even this is still really dancy. I don't see why any station would play this over the superior original. If the station is against dance music, they won't play the song at all.

^ Yeah.
I do think many of the alt and rock stations that played "Feel Good, Inc." (which was by no standards "rock", but more like electronica or some kind of "urban"-alt) might play this solely due to "Feel Good, Inc."'s impressive chart performance. Which is a good thing. :)

OK, I take it back. The song itself isn't as weird as I originally thought - actually, I'm starting to warm to it.
That video, on the other hand...[/font]

It took me quite a few times to listen to this to get into it, but yeah just like Feel Good Inc, it grew on me since its so catchy.

I kinda ignored it when I heard it on the CD, but now it's catchy to me. Hate when that happens!

Approaching the alternative top 10; I find that extremely interesting, this being a full-blown dance song.

I really don't like this song or this band. Please let the Gorillaz go away for awhile...

I think Hard-Fi owes it to the Gorillaz for paving their way. And I'm thrilled about Hard-Fi doing so well as well. I don't think Alternative is going to become overwhelmed by alternative-dance music anytime soon, but it's awesome that the door's open to it.

^ Yep. I'm liking all these dance-rock releases, and I'm satisfied that they're doing pretty well on alt.

^ absolutely agree. I think this and Cash Machine will be in the Top 3 in about six to eight weeks. When's the last time the UK had the top 2 songs? I really can't wait for Hard To Beat to be released for Hard-Fi...again I think Hard-Fi is going to be one of the biggest if not the biggest british import on Altenrative if not CHR POP as well with the exception of James Blunt this year.

Althought off-beat, "Hard To Beat" has several dance mixes, ideal for (surprise) dance radio. I can see them becoming big, but I can also see them being overlooked.

I at rock remixes in general. In order to make rock stations play an otherwise "non-rock" song, the remixes have to have staccato distorted electric guitar chords that sound horrendously out of place and damn near ruin the songs.

I actually slightly prefer the "rock" remix over the original. At the least, I credit it with helping me come around on the original and making me love it as much as I do. But I think the only reason I did like it so much was because they still retained that dancy feel while putting the new spin on it.
KFNK was actually the one that played it here, but probably only because they played "Feel Good, Inc." too (unremixed). Although, in retrospect, I don't think they even needed to play the remixed version, especially considering how quickly it faded from the station's rotation anyway.
