I saw this on another messageboard, and it's kind of fun. So take an artist's peak position and subtract it from 100 (except for a #1 single since supposedly only a 100 is an A+) So like if someone peaked at #1.. =100 or if a single peaked at #12 =100 - 12 =88

Mariah Carey
It's Like That #16 B = 84
We Belong Together #1 A+ = 100
Shake It Off #2 A = 98
Don't Forget About Us #1 A+ = 100
Say Somethin' #79 F = 21 ---------------------------------------- Average = 80.6 (B-)
Mariah is the smart perfect kid in your classes who gets perfect grades and hardly studies, while everyone else works their ass off. However, on the last test of the semester she slacks off too much and it bites her in the ass.

Kelly Clarkson
Brekaway #6 A = 94
Since U Been Gone #2 A = 98
Behind These Hazel Eyes #6 A = 94
Because of You #7 A = 93
Walk Away #12 B+ = 88
---------------------------------------- Average = 93.4 (A)
Kelly is the student in your classes who is not naturally smart like say Mariah, but she works hard and studies every night. She'll never get the A+, but she works dilgentally and finishes the semester with an A average

Gwen Stefani
What You Waiting For #47 F = 53
Rich Girl #7 A = 93
Hollaback Girl #1 A+ = 100
Cool #13 B+ = 87
Luxurious #21 C+ = 79
Crash #49 F = 51
---------------------------------------- Average = 77.16 (C+)
Gwen is the kid who's rough around the edges from the wrong side of the tracks. Unlike Mariah and Kelly who know what they want and are taking courses in R&B and Rock, Gwen doesn't know what she wants and is taking everything from R&B to Dance to Hip-Hop. After she failed her first class, her consuelor had a talk with her and suggested she switch from her dance classes to hip-hop ones and it worked! She went form an F to A to an A+! However, she wasnt as focused after that and to boost her grades, she added a sixth course at the last moment. Unfortunately, she lost focus on that class with a pregnancy

Rascal Flatts Hot Country Feels Like Today #56 #9 F = 44 A = 91 Hot Country Bless The Broken Road #29 #1 C = 71 A+ = 100 Hot Country Fast Cars & Freedom #38 #1 C- = 62 A+ = 100 Hot Country What Hurts The Most #6 #1 A = 94 A+ = 100
Hot 100 Hot Country 271/400 C 391/400 A+
Rascal Flatts has finally got a high math grade by figuring out the formula for a Hot 100 hit. Have the #1 Country song then release it a digital single and get huge sales. They are massively successful in one subject but have been up and down in the one. They could have got a higher mark on the Hot 100 if they figured out the formula earlier. There next single looks like it will be a miss on the Hot 100 due to forgetting the formula very quickly and getting the answer wrong by not going wish "My Wish". They still do a good job on a tough subject for Country masters.

85 and 89 are As? 68.64 is a C+? Here at University of Toronto... 0-49 = F = 0.0 50-52 = D- = 0.7 53-56 = D = 1.0 57-59 = D+ = 1.3 60-62 = C- = 1.7 63-66 = C = 2.0 67-69 = C+ = 2.3 70-72 = B- = 2.7 73-76 = B = 3.0 77-79 = B+ = 3.3 80-84 = A- = 3.7 85-89 = A = 4.0 90-100 = A+ = 4.0 I don't know how the system works down in the U.S. and elsewhere internationally. In our university, there is this rule in which no more than 25% of the class can get an A (i.e. 80+). This ultimately means that we often get killed in the final exams.

The above is the undergraduate grade scale. Under the graduate grade scale...
0-69% = F 70% and above follows the above scale.

Wow, those grades seem so liberal! In the USA, it's 90-100 A, 80-89 B, 70-79 C, 60-69 D, 59 and below F. But I'm confused. You said only 25 percent of the class can get an A. But what if they all score in the A region? Like the whole class gets 85 or better? Do they lower the scores ???

It is not possible at all for the whole class to get 85 or better, not even 80 or better. For instance, if the professor knows that the class average heading into the exam is in the high 70s or 80s, he/she will either make the exam very hard to drag everyone's mark down, or he/she will just adjust the marks. The class average is usually set to be around a C+ for first year and second courses and a B- for third year and second year. Maybe I am just unlucky, but I still haven't gotten an 80 in any of my courses; and I am in my fourth year. I had two 79's, two 77's... Maybe it's something to do with my program. Many of our courses have participation marks (ranging from 5-15%), so the professors can definitely play around with the marks.

I wonder will I do much better if I have classes down in the U.S. It just seems so easy to get mid 80's or higher.

I don't get this grading scheme. #1 gets a 100 and #2 gets 98. What gets 99? #2 gets 99 because you're supposed to subtract the peak from 101, not 100. I mean, if you want to exclude a 99 grade, go ahead, but it seems pretty silly to go 100, 98, 97, 96, 95, etc.

"Southern Hospitality" #23 - 77 C
"Area Codes" f. Nate Dogg #24 - 76 C
"Rollout (My Business)" #17 - 83 B

"Number One Spot" #19 - 81 B
"Pimpin' All Over The World" #9 - 91 A
-----------------------
Overall: 77.7 C
Ludacris is the kid who doesn't necessarily want to come to class, but he knows that if he doesn't pass, he'll just have to come back next year. Knowing this, he makes sure he has a hit at least once an album so he can pass. He's too busy hustlin'.

CIARA
"Goodies" featuring Petey deleted #1 - 100 A+
"1, 2 Step" featuring Missy Elliott #2 - 99 A
"Oh!" featuring Ludacris #2 - 99 A
"And I" #96 - 4 F
--------------------------------
Overall - 75.5 C
I think this answers the question, "Did [And I] really suck that bad?", and the answer is a whopping YES.
BTW - Without "And I", Ciara's average would've been 99.3 - A. She could've had the highest marks!

Selena Since she doesn't have but a couple Hot 100 hits I'm going to do Hot Latin Tracks peaks: Hot Latin Tracks Como La Flor #6 94=A Buenos Amigos #1 100=A+ Que Creias #14 86=B No Debes Jugar #3 97=A La Llamada #5 95=A Amame #27 77=C No Me Queda Mas #1 100=A+ Bidi Bidi Bom Bom #1 100=A+ Amor Prohibido #1 100=A+ Tu Solo Tu #1 100=A+ Techno Cumbia #4 96=A I Could Fall In Love #2 98=A+ Fotos Y Recuerdos#1 100=A+ El Toro Relajo #24 74=C Dreaming Of You #11 89=B+ Siempre Hace Frio #2 98=A No Quiero Saber #6 94=A Last Dance/The Hustle/On The Radio #25 75=C Costumbres 85=B Avreage:92.52 Selena knew what she wanted while she was alive and relished in one hit after another never scoring a "D" or "F" and only one "C" while she was alive. The fans knew they wanted more Selena even after her death, causing the highest (at the time) peak of a non-Spanish song on the Latin tracks.
