Weeks ago, I was counting the days for the release of the new Outkast album. I loved their last two studio albums and couldn't wait to hear this new one. Slowly I started losing my excitement about this until a couple of weeks ago I decided not to buy the album. Even though I read many ok-to-good reviews, the first two singles didn't capture my attention. They were just ok to me.
I will have to download only the best tracks from iTunes. What are in your opinion the TWO BEST TRACKS in the album?
Thanks!

You have to go and get the album seriously. There are no two standout tracks or favorites because it's the album as a whole that's incredible. It's not an album where you can just listen to one or two songs on repeat.
Every song is extremely good, and not in a Danity Kane way but in a musical way, so I can't just pick two. Just go pick it up and curse me out if you think I lied to you LOL.
Btw, Why are people doubting Outkast now?

The album is still much better than a vast majority of material you hear on mainstream radio in recent years, but I will add that this is probably Outkast's weakest effort to date, as decent as it still is. By no means is this a disappointing album necessarily, it's just that I think they set their sights a bit too far and so if anything, this album can be a bit uneven and inconsistent at times.
Having said that, there are some stand-out tracks on the record. "Hollywood Divorce" is an ambitious excellent-produced track, "Mutron Angel" has great artistic and thematic depth, and "Chronomentrophobia" has a great vintage kind of R&B. Also, I might add I can see "When I Look In Your Eyes" becoming a hit from this album.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Heh! It's funny: I have minimal interest in this project. But I'm probably gonna get the album, just because I have all their others and feel like I should complete the collection. Same reason I broke down and bought Invincible, Charmbracelet, Damita Jo, and a few other sucky albums.

Thanks, guys! I'll take a listen to the songs you mention. I might end buying the album. If it's good and different to the stuff that's on the radio, I'll be happy to buy the album. Is the movie good? Does it help to understand and enjoy more the album?

You may not like it at first, how I didn't, but it will definitely grow on you and you'll end up loving it. Carlitoz, you should definitely get the album.
