I took The Cars' debut album out from the library and am soooo surprised by how many songs I know from it. I listened to it several times today at work Then hopped in my car to go to the gym and "Bye Bye Love" was on my car radio. On the way home a different station played "Just What I Needed". What a coincidence! It's a Cars day! Anyone know the order the singles were released from this album and their peaks on the charts?? Thanks a bunch in advance.
Here's the track listing:
1. Good Times Roll 2. My Best Friend's Girl 3. Just What I Needed 4. I'm In Touch With Your World 5. Don't Cha Stop Listen Listen 6. You're All I've Got Tonight 7. Bye Bye Love 8. Moving In Stereo 9. All Mixed Up

Three singles from The Cars charted on the Hot 100, but most every track on the album got substantial play at AOR radio... it spent over two-and-a-half years on the LP chart and remains their biggest selling album to date.
Just What I Needed - #27 My Best Friend's Girl - #35 Good Times Roll - #41

Based on RIAA certifications:
The Cars (1978): 6 million Candy-O (1979): 4 million Panorama (1980): 1 million Shake It Up (1981): 2 million Heartbeat City (1984): 3 million The Cars Greatest Hits (1985): 6 million Door To Door (1987): 500,000
There've been several more greatest hits packages and anthologies released during the SoundScan era, but I don't have numbers for them... needless to say they haven't sold enough to be certified.
