Don't you think this summer's music is incredibly boring! Summer used to be a fountain of good pop songs and where are they now? We have a lot of ballads and IMO most of them are plain bad. The upbeat ones are also super bad, like Umbrella, man, I can't STAND that song. I'm tired of Justin, Nelly and the gang. Where are the new good pop songs of the summer?? Kelly Clarkson should be saving it and not distroying it with the most depressing tune of all.
So I ask, where are the good pop songs???

M.I.A. is coming, for me. KALA is going to bang out my speakers all summer. Play "Hit That" at high volume...in a residential area The bass is insane.

I agree that the pop songs are lousy this summer, but that's making room for some pretty cool songs, like "Hey There Delilah" and "Party like a rockstar". Also, "4 in the Morning" by Gwen Stefani is a great ballad that just entered the Top 20. Shut Up And Drive is coming to a radio station near you. To peak in September

Usually though it's a bunch of first singles - now it isn't. I agree, this summer is quite boring pop music-wise.

Last summer was perfect...so fun, but overly energetic.
This summer...blahh.

We've had some good records, like "Umbrella," "Beautiful Girls" and the fantastic "Hey there Delilah."
I agree with you though, this has been a lackluster summer. No anthems like "Hollaback Girl," sense of exhilaration like "Crazy in Love," or other brilliant records we are accustomed to.

This summer is a snoozefest compared to the summer of 05 and 06. Those summers were great! Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. Radio is just boring atm - I really shouldn't get excited to hear Good Charlotte on the radio, that's pretty desperate!
Looking at the 'bullets' (if you wanna call em that there so fucking low) on the charts right now, looks like radio is bored with itself lol.

I looked at the charts and cried tonight. But atleast the boring summer helped my Yamin get a top ten hit!

This spring/summer has been fairly interesting in terms of the songs being played in the video... depressing themes in general (as seen from the ballads)... and who can forget about the whole rehab/sober theme?
