I realize HIM has some kind of a greatest hits CD coming out before the end of the year, but what the hell is the point of sending this song to radio again?

Isn't it a remix of some sort?
I have no idea if it's from an upcoming album. But what is with their constant changing of song titles? This was later changed to just "Join Me" when it was re-released in the states. And then they added "Rip Out The" in "Wings of a Butterfly". Weird.

Technically, it is "Join Me" on R&R GFA this week. I added "in Death" because that's the real title. I guess the record company feels inviting someone to die with you is too morbid a concept for commercial radio, no matter how beautiful the actual song sounds.
I have no idea if it's supposed to be a remix, is that what's going on here?. If it is, then it had better be good. I love that song too much for it to be promoted again in the form of an inferior remix.

Do HIM even have a myspace?
It's the "Strongroom Mix" (whatever that means) according to FMQB.
I saw no reason to drop "In Death" from the title of the re-release. Amazing song, like much of the (newer) material I've heard from them. Does anyone remember that Pulse HIM Board April Fools Day joke several months ago? Yeah, that guy was a random genius.

HIM is putting out a remix album to tide people over until their new album next year. That's what's going on here.
This is the tracklist for the set, which is called Uneasy Listening, Vol. 1.
01. The Sacrament (Disrhythm Mix) 02. The Funeral Of Hearts (Acoustic) 03. Join Me In Death (Strongroom Mix) 04. Close To The Flame (Rappula Tapes) 05. In Joy And Sorrow (Strings Version) 06. It's All Tears (Live Unplugged Radio Version) 07. When Love And Death Embrace (AORMJ Edit) 08. Buried Alive By Love (Deliverance Version) 09. Gone With The Sin (OD Version) 10. Salt In Our Wounds (Thulsa Doom Version) 11. Please Don't Let It Go (Acoustic) 12. One Last Time (Rockfield Madness Mix) 13. For You (Live Unplugged Radio Version) 14. The Path (PS Version) 15. Lose You Tonight (Thulsa Doom Extended Version)

Does anyone remember that Pulse HIM Board April Fools Day joke several months ago? Yeah, that guy was a random genius. Oh yeah. I remember signing onto the boards that day and thinking "Um, what the hell? Am I in the right place?" Awesome April Fools joke, but that must have taken awhile to make.

Oh, was that you? I would have done a Pulse Jah Wobble Board myself, but that's just me.

Not all me (wasn't even my idea), but I did create all the heartagram buttons and the title banner (simply the Dark Light album cover with the edges stretched out to make room for text). Didn't really take long at all (although I had prior experience in making april fools day banners). The day was canned ownage.

Yeah, I didn't get the joke at first. I actually thought it was someone trying to promote the band itself, but once I correlated it with April Fools', I was pretty relieved.

Wow, except for 3 songs all those remixes are for tunes from before 2003, even. I wonder what they're going for with that decision.

The song is on AllAccess.
I could be wrong as I haven't heard the original for awhile, but the version on AllAccess pretty much sounds like what I remember from when the original was played on the radio two years ago.
