The follow up to "Hate (I Really Don't Like You)" is a song that isn't even on their current album. Its from an EP they released earlier this year of the same name. This is definitely one of their better songs, but the fact that they aren't going for a song from Every Second Counts goes to show how average that album must be.

I swear I remember seeing this go for adds quite a few months ago, but I guess it never officially did. Its very Death Cab For Cutieish and a good relaxing tune to listen to on a dreary day. I don't see this doing too well on Alternative, but could definitely do excellent on the Hot AC format.

LOLZ wow this is the very first song I heard from them earlier last year. It would be weird if it went for adds.

And wasn't there a video for this already? I remember seeing one on FUSE.

I'm pretty sure this is a re-release. I remember Tom on Loveline in October or so discussing this as a lovesong written for someone else's girlfriend (nothing bad came of that, fortunately). He referred to this as the band's unofficial first "single" and noted how well the song did on the Warped tour. For what it's worth. If AllAccess actually kept an archive...

wm.allaccess.com/allaccess/plaiheyt.wmaThis one is a little different than the original? I've noticed different music in the background from the one I have. Anyways, this is HAWT. I'm glad they're re-releasing it.

This is the first song I heard from too, and IMO it's not good. At all.

I was listening to WJRR a few weeks ago. They're an Alternative, but mostly Active Rock leaning station. Anyway, they were playing this and asked people what they thought of it. I'd say 90-95% of the people said it totally sucked and to "play some freaking stuff that ROCKS!" I could understand that most fans of the harder side of rock now in days probably would hate this song, since it's very melodic and easy listening. I can't deny I like a lot of harder stuff as well, but personally I think it's a great song lyrically and musically. Sometimes I just don't understand why some fans can't accept if a certain song is good despite it not being something they'd typically listen to. I guess that's why we all have different opinions or else we'd all be completely insane.
On another note, I totally stand corrected on what I said about this song back in February when I thought it would do absolutely nothing. It's now in the freaking Top 10 on Alternative :o

And I just heard it for the first time (not considering "live" 5 months ago) on the radio this past week.

I can tolerate the song, but that doesn't meant it's any more than fluff that should only be top 10 on the pop chart. I'd really be surprised if that isn't where it ends up.

To all those people who, without thinking twice, rejected (or "poo-poohed") the idea of Yellowcard sending "How I Go" for adds last year................ This song has skyrocketed and is now destined for the top five. I'm just going to say it - songs like these are why I listen to music, period.

That's basically why I thought this would do absolutely nothing on the charts since I don't remember the last time a song as mellow as this hit HUGE on the Alternative chart since maybe the late 90s and minus Coldplay. However, yeah if this could shock everyone and hit Top 5, there truly is no reason why How I Go couldn't either.

#3 now, good grief. This is better than "Hate (I Really Don't Like You)", but it's still gonna have to be a grower. With its movements on the Pop chart, though, I'm guessing I'll hear it enough to get a chance. That's basically why I thought this would do absolutely nothing on the charts since I don't remember the last time a song as mellow as this hit HUGE on the Alternative chart since maybe the late 90s and minus Coldplay. I think "Swing Life Away" is soft enough to at least be in the discussion... but "HTD" has peaked at least a few spots higher (I don't remember "SLA"'s peak, but it was between 6 and 10).

Swing Life Away peaked at #12. I was surprised to see that Ready To Fall did almost as well peaking at #13 and obviously Prayer Of The Refugee surpassed it peaking at #7

This song puts me to sleep. Not to mention that it's incredibly hard to sit through. This is the first time I've listened to it in full; I've turned it off every other time.
I'm not gonna say much...but this is what I expect to hear on a pop station between "Here Without You" and "The Reason".

Why is it that this song got a second life and quickly caught on this time? It's not even that good. This feels just the same as if Relient K were having a huge ballad on the Alternative chart. Why? This is popular on Alternative radio? This?? You've got to be kidding me.

My workplace radio station, believe it or not, just added this. I heard it this morning at first not realizing what it was until I heard that "Oooooooh what you do to me....." chorus. This really is a pretty boring song. Strange that it's doing so well as a single.

It's time to play... "GUESS THE CHART"!! 52 46 PLAIN WHITE T'S Hey There Delilah 116 88 28 Player 1, what's your guess? "Uh... Hot AC?" X Oooh, sorry, that's incorrect. Player 2, do you have a guess? "It's gotta be the AC chart!" X No, that's not it either! Player 3, you're our last hope! "Oh gosh, I'm not really sure. Hmm... is it Triple A?" X [audience groans] No one was able to guess the chart where "Hey There Delilah" is #46. Why, it's Active Rock, of course! ...

No one was able to guess the chart where "Hey There Delilah" is #46. Why, it's Active Rock, of course! Unbelievable. However, isn't this is the same chart that let "The Reason" go top 5? >:(
