This time, it's Birmingham's WBPT as they change to classic hits as the Eagle. You can just about literally count the number of 80s stations left on one hand.

If that station had a VERY tiny library (250 songs max) and played 85% alternative like lots of other horribly programmed 80's stations out there), it's a wonder that it lasted THIS long!!!!!

Radio Locator lists only three all-'80s stations still in existence: KHPT, Houston KXCL, Sacramento WBPT, BirminghamWPOI, St. Petersburg

Cox moves slower than snails when it comes to hanging on to low-performing formats. See their urban station in Atlanta and their country station in Birmingham.

97.3 the brew is considered hits of the 80s and more. they play almost no current stuff, and some stuff from the late 70s, but otherwise, standard stuff they play is bon jovi, def leppard, ELO, scorpians, boston....etc.
