"GIRLS ALOUD have hired Bananarama's former manager Hillary Shaw to help them make it in the US, I can reveal. Manager Louis Walsh says he's happy with his "co-manager" role.
Popstars and X-Factor judge Walsh will concentrate on the new X-Factor series and manage Westlife, G4 and Voices With Soul.
Last night, a source revealed: "Some see this as a slap in the face for Louis - but he's insistent it has been his decision." Louis thought they needed someone devoted to their bid to crack America and brought in Hillary, who had success with Bananarama in the '80s."

thank god they ditched lewis walsh. he would have overmarketed the spice girls angle and driven another promising north american career into the ground.

They definately deserve to do well, but I'm not sure they will.

I am honestly convinced they will have a #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts with a remix or two - nothing more - and try and return to the UK by saying they have been hugely succesful in the US or something.
From the sounds of what other people have been saying, I just don't think US radio would play them. They may need a huge amount of downloads for them to do well I guess.
I think "Graffitti My Soul" would make a good US single maybe. Though it was a rejected Britney song...

Ha! Good luck! I still can't believe their success... these girls are horrible. They're the lamest thing to come out of the UK since All Saints and Sugababes. GAG!

Actually I thought the Sugababes were pretty good and with the right material it wouldn't be hard for them to crack the US.
