This song reached a new peak today, getting to #2 in the UK. This is not only therefore Gorillaz's biggest UK hit, but it has one of the most interesting chart runs the UK has seen for quite some time. This track actually climbs to #2 in its fifth week on the chart, and it is its first time in the Top 10 and Top 5. Its previous chart run is: 22-21-22-20. The physical CD single was only made available last week, hence the big jump. The song charted in the main charts in the first week downloads were combined with physical sales. Whilst many songs are made available for download before the release of the physical CD, sales do not count towards the chart as a chart rule states that for downloads to count towards a song in the Top 40, a physical version must be available. Gorillaz simply exploited this rule by making available approximately 700 Limited Edition 7" picture discs, allowing the song's downloads to be eligible for inclusion in the Top 40. This kind of chart run hasn't been seen in the UK for a very long time - I cannot remember the last song which did this. Hopefully this will encourage other artists to do the same thing. And the song ain't half bad either!

Great news...I was amazed when this song didn't debut high enough.
