Oasis are set to be number one this weekend with Lyla outselling Akon by three to one.
Akon looks set to slide one place down to two and the Black Eyed Peas look set to have a top 3 entry with Don't Phunk With My Heart.
01 Oasis - Lyla 02 Akon - Lonely 03 Black Eyed Peas - Don't Phunk With My Heart 06 Kaiser Chiefs - Everyday I Love You Less and Less
In the top 20:
Javine - Touch My Fire Jennifer Lopez feat. Fat Joe - Hold You Down Max Graham vs Yes - Owner Of A Lonely Heart Mylo - In My Arms Rob Thomas - Lonely No More
--------------------------------------
That seems like bad news for J. Lo and Rob Thomas, I expected Rob Thomas at least to be in the Top 10! As for Javine, I'm hardly surprised, since she seems cursed ever since she followed up her debut...

Here's an update.
Midweek Chart: Sales+Downloads
01 Oasis - Lyla 02 Akon - Lonely 03 Black Eyed Peas - Don't Phunk With My Heart 04 Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc 05 Tony Christie - Amarillo 06 Kaiser Chiefs - Everyday I Love You Less and Less 07 Snoop Dogg - Signs 08 The Game ft 50 Cent - Hate It or Love It 09 Max Graham vs Yes - Owner of a Lonely Heart 10 Jennifer Lopez - Hold You Down
Midweek Chart: New Entries (Top 20 Only)
11 Rob Thomas - Lonely No More 12 Mylo - In My Arms 18 Javine - Touch My Fire 19 Stevie Wonder - So What The Fuss 20 New Order - Jetstream
And for those who care, this is how physical singles look without downloads: J-Lo is fairing much better than I had expected; but looks as though she'll loose out with a distinct lack of downloads, though. Following up a #1 with only a #10 still is not great, when "Rebirth" hasn't really sold much.

Cheers for that. I hope Rob Thomas can push J-Lo out of the top 10. She really doesn't deserve it because the song is just so bad. I haven't met a single person who likes that song.

What's the highest a Matchbox Twenty single reached on the singles chart? I know it isn't very good since they aren't well known in the UK. I'm thinking Disease from their last album debuted in the 30s?

The highest charting Matchbox Twenty single is "Push" which hit #38. "Smooth" with Santana went to #3.
