According to Jem's official website, this is the new video. It is also zipping up the UK airplay charts... anyone know any more info?

Despite being #1 in UK Airplay, this debuts only at #16 on the UK Singles Chart this week.

Wow... Where did you get the UK airplay chart? I had a site, but I forgot it. Thanks.

From Music Week: Jem's debut hit They climbed as high as number two on the airplay chart in March while peaking at number six on the OCC sales chart. Follow-up Just A Ride debutson the sales chart at number 16 this week while climbing 6-1 on the airplay chart Just A Ride was the most-played record on Radio 2 last week (21 plays) and was fifth on Radio One's list, with 24 spins. These two stations provided nearly 70% of its audience of just over 64m. Although its audience was the highest of any record, Just A Ride's total of 1,602 plays was only the seventh highest. Just A Ride's high airplay profile is paying rich dividends for Jem's Finally Woken album, which also benefited from TV advertising last week. As a result it jumps 36-22, with sales up 123.8% at 16,128. Its cumulative sales are 153,083. Her album is currently #15 in midweeks too. Mimi's at #17 on midweeks.

Awesome, thanks for the news Hector. Question about Radio One and Radio 2.... are they heard just in London or all over the UK? (And do they broadcast online).
I love how she was #1 most played on Radio 2 last week, but with only 21 plays. US radio should take a lesson...

Awesome, thanks for the news Hector. Question about Radio One and Radio 2.... are they heard just in London or all over the UK? (And do they broadcast online). Both stations are heard all over the UK as far as I know. Radio 1 is like the Z100 of the UK (both CHR/Pop stations), as in they are both the biggest pop stations in the country, but do NOT have the highest audience impressions overall of a format (Adult Contemporary does). And Radio 2 is basically the TOP radio station audience wise in the UK, more known to play alot more AC stuff with some pop and Hot AC stuff in there. Both stations have these playlists, the A-List, B-List, and the C-List. Thankfully Radio stations are finally also benefitting Mariah as she's B-List on Radio 1 (estimating to say 10-15 plays and C-List on Radio 2 (around 5 plays). To get my drift on the playlist thing: www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/r2music/playlist/www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/playlist.shtml

Both stations are heard all over the UK as far as I know. Cool, so basically it would be like if Z100 and WLTW were given a frequency in each major US city or something? That would explain how Jem's 45 spins on those 2 stations out of her 1,602 overall account for 70% of all her audience. That's kind of a mind-boggling figure.

Those two stations have HUGE power. If an old song gets like 2-5 plays on Radio 2 alone, that's enough to get it top 100 on the UK Airplay chart. :o

Her album takes a huge leap in the UK going 22-6, followed along with Mimi's 21-9.

From Music Week:
Many significant climbers in the album chart were helped by deep discounting as the summer sales seasons began but Jem's debut album Finally Woken makes a genuine and impressive leap on the back of the success of second single Just A Ride.
Finally Woken sold just 37 copies the week it was released last September but climbed as high as number nine in April, after introductory single They was released. With Just A Ride topping the airplay chart and reaching number 16 on the singles chart, Finally Woken has climbed 36-22-6 in the last fortnight, and sold 26,973 copies last week to bring its overall sales to 180,055.

I don't like this song as much as "They" and "24". This is boring, and I'm honestly amazed that it's gotten that high in the UK's airplay chart.
