I thought about getting this one but the track listing is very disappointing. I don't see any of her songs she recorded while linked with Selena's father and those are really some great songs. She also did a cover of 4 Non Blondes "What's Going On (Hey)" at some shows and it was really impressive. I haven't seen the CD/DVD version - anyone know if it has more songs on the DVD than the CD?

11 CD tracks (incl. bonus track) and 10 DVD tracks. I can't complain about the tracklisting because she only performed those songs at the Houston Rodeo. And all the performances were excellent.
"Si Tu Te Vas," "Contigo Otra Vez," and "No Te Voy A Perdonar" were all from her "Q" era.

Yes you are right. Those three tracks are from that era. I was kind of hoping she would sing a few from the other albums. Those three are from the Abrazame album. I guess I wanted to see/hear some of the songs that made her stick in my head. If I remember correctly, she was a co-headliner that night so I am assuming if she had a longer set maybe we would have heard some of her hits like "Pura Dulzura", "Yo Te Vi", etc. I think with her vocal maturity they would sound even better!

Yeah, it would've been nice to hear some of her (really) old school tracks. I just watched the DVD last night and it met my expectations. Little crowd interaction. I'm guessing that's because she couldn't see the crowd. (The crowd looked totally dark from the side shots of the stage.) ::)Bought the album and it was decent. Like I said before, wish some of her classics had be done and I wonder why Vamos Al Mundial didn't get any action. :) It was dry with audience participation but that's how all the shows at Houston Rodeo tend to be. Check out the Selena DVD and you'll see she didn't get to be real close to the crowd much either. Now Jennifer needs to release another studio album - haha !

Does anyone know if this album made an appearance on the Billboard 200?

Jennifer's Billboard 200 history: 2002 Libre Heatseekers 6 2004 Seducción The Billboard 200 162 2004 Seducción Top Heatseekers 7 2004 Houston Rodeo Live Top Heatseekers 13
Guess #13 was only good for #250 or so. Shocked her #6 Heatseeker in 2002 didn't make the chart.

From what I heard, Houston Rodeo sold 100.000 units in only a month, so I figured that would average about 25.000 or so for 4 weeks; I guess its a lot harder to break into the Billboard 200 than I thought.

Did it sell that many or did it ship that many? I remember Seduccion sold around 7,000 in its first week, which was good enough for a BB200 debut. #200 is usually 5,000-6,000, but with "Houston Rodeo" hitting stores in November, sales may have been up a bit.

According to an Univision press release in January, Neilson Soundscan recorded the Houston Rodeo CD certifying Oro (100.000 units) in the span of a month. I dont know if an RIAA Latin Certification is shipment or sales.
