I used to watch MTV Latino 10 years ago when I used to live in South America. I knew very little of latin videos for 10 years until recently that I started watching MUN2 and I really like it. Initially I didn't like it because I thought the whole channel was reggeaton and latin hip hop all day, but I was mistaken. They play a lot also of pop and rock in Spanish, plus videos in English too. My cable doesn't have MTV Latino and I'm not planning to pay extra to have it. I'm very happy with MTV, VH1, BET, CMT and MUN2. I wonder which one is more successful these day, MUN2 or MTV Latino...

What does MUN2 stand for? I don't get MTV Latino and I don't believe I get MUN2 on my satellite dish with DirectTV.

I don't think MTV Latino is available in the states. My digital cable gets MTV Espanol, but not MUN2. Since I have Comcast, and they are a very large cable provider, I would guess MTV Espanol is more common.

I don't have either. Well, in SF I didn't. I only had Univision, Telemundo, Telefutura, and Galavision. I don't know about NYC. Supposedly my dorm doesn't get a lot of cable channels like Food Network, etc, so I really hope they'll get all the same Spanish stations at least....I mostly watch Univision and Telefutura for music videos. Univision plays them during extended commercial breaks, and Telefutura has "Pepsi Musica."

Dish Network has both (considering I have the basic Latino package, LOL) but I have MTV En Español on my favorites, along with Telehit and HiTv, as far as Spanish music channels go. I've always pictured Mun2 as the quintessential Reggaeton and Hurban channel, but I guess my view was wrong. And I'm glad it is. I still prefer the other over Mun2 though, because Mun2 just has "too much" English involved with it, and one of the reasons I watch/listen to the other is because of the language.
