Hey all! I bought the other day Juanes' Um Dia Normal, because I thought A Dios Le Pido was a GREAT song and the CD was so cheap I had to buy it. But when I heard the whole CD, it was so flat and the lyrics were really not good. The only good song was A Dios Le Pido indeed...
I still think he's really talented, so I'm wondering what you guys thought of this album and what other album from him you recommend to me.

Juanes only has three albums:
Fajite Bien - his debut album Un Dia Normal - considered by many to be his best album Mi Sangre - current album, which I think is as good as Un Dia Normal.

I was really into "Un Dia Normal" until I overplayed it...I haven't liked "Mi Sangre" as much as it yet, but maybe that's a good thing. I'm not worn out on it at all, and I can still JAM to a lot of songs on it.

wow, you weren't impressed with Un Día Normal? :o
i do think that's his best album, and one of my all time favorite albums, i think it's so great.. there's various styles, but it all works and feels right together, and i think the lyrics are very romantic, very insightful, and the album is just classic
i love the other albums too, Fíjate Bien is very distinct from the other two and is great in a different way.. and Mi Sangre is kind of a combination and i love it as well, probably my second favorite after Un Día Normal

hmmm... so I think I'll stay away from his CDs now. I really think Un Dia Normal is underwhelming...

U can also try the pre-Juanes albums when he used to belong to Ekhimosis. I have one of those albums and it is actually pretty good.

The Ekhimosis albums are pretty good, and I've liked his last two albums a lot. Go Colombia! ;)

I really think Un Dia Normal is underwhelming... well Fíjate Bien is very different and distinct from Un Día Normal, so you may prefer it.. a lot of people seem to like one a lot more, and aren't as crazy about the other.. so you should check it out it's darker than UDN, it's more about social issues, not so romantic and mellow like UND, it has more of an edge

I got in to Juanes when I was in Guatemala, cuz all I heard there was 'Dios Le Pido' in 2002 then I seen the video and I was like, who is this dude and whats with the weird video?! But, once I got 'Un Dia Normal' its been on ever since, 'Mi Sangre' is in my opinion just as great as 'Un Dia Normal'. Lot of great medlodies. I'll have to check 'Fijate Bien' and the previous CDs with his old band.

Un Dia Normal is a bit underwhelming..true..but... It has some great songs on; A Dios Le Pido, La Paga, Mala Gente, Luna and La Noche. The other songs are good too, but I'm not really into slow songs.

FIJATE BIEN, Juanes's debut album was exceptional--so gritty and in your face. Then it all went downhill. Big time! Ever since UN DIA NORMAL, all he does is generic pop/rock. The word Mana comes to mind.
