Do you think this is gonna be the colombian year, Juanes, Shakira and Andrea Echeverry are nominated in different categories. Make your bet ;)

I think just that the fact that they are nominated proves that, yes, indeed, it's been the columbian's year....

I would say this has been the colombian decade. Every year there are at least two colombians on the spotlight.

Yep. It sure seems like it. Just looking at the Billboard Latin Tracks between Shakira and Juanes they were number 1 for most of this last year.

Since Juanes and Shakira are one of the biggest latin singers I would say no. To me they are the kind of singers that they can release bad songs and they still be hits. But why not? This should be the colombian year and next year, 2006 will be the puertorican year with Daddy Yankees brand new album and J.Lo's SOON TO BE SMASH SPANISH ALBUM

Darn. That's some chart domination alright. So, did La Tortura cut into La Camisa Negra's weeks at #1? I thought that was Juanes most popular song from this era. I also didn't realize No had been that successful.

I also didn't realize No had been that successful. Yes these artists have dominated the whole 2005 year in Latin America. La Tortura cut La Camisa Negra at number one but... Juanes still manage to spent 15 weeks or so at number 2... this week left the Top 40 after 44 weeks inside the chart. Also "Para Tu Amor" reached number 2 last week... but i am not sure if this title will reach number one because of lack of airplay in many countries... the video has been added to mtv that may helps him.

YEs it's growing very fast now. Actually it is Top 40 now in Latin America. Let's see if it gets the number one place like Latortura or No
