Wow, this chicana diva is smokin' hot!
I like the clip of her song "Tu!" and "Latina" from her album "Miss Ana Alicia Sionez," which is released today. The only reason I clicked on it was bc of the hot album cover! Is she trying to confuse ppl with Eva Longoria?! ???
Her is an interview with her regarding this album. She says the single is "Muere Lento" and she worked with Damon Elliot (!!! Awesome!) on the album:

Introducing Miss Ana Alicia Sionez

This sexy Latina is back with a new Label and a new CD!!
I was introduced to Ana Alicia at "The Roof" concert at Escapade 2001 and I kept asking myself, "I know this girl!', but I could never remember where I knew her from and then about a year later I was going through some CD's I have and BAM there she was with a group called "Las Margaritas". Come on you 'member! She also appeared on “La Damilia Perfecta“ on Mun2 and had a hit single last year with Abusivo on her independant CD release. She is now on Univision Records and ready to release her second CD. So, if you still don't remember or know Ana allow me to introduce you to Ana Alicia.
Synbad: What's the name of the new album?
Ana: The CD is called, "Miss Ana Alicia Sionez". The meaning behind it is: "my
analizationz" at the same time I'm introducing myself as "Miss Analization", which is play on words with my name, Oh and sorry my last name is not SIONEZ. On this album everything unfolds, every word means something and many times. There are words that have double meanings, or undertext. I had a lot of producers working with me,from Damon Elliott, who is an established producer and has worked with Pink, Mya, Bone Thugz to going to my hometome, Orange County, and working with who I consider the King of the underground, Myango. I also worked with D'Menace, David Rolas, Trakshun. There are also producers who didn't make the album, since we recorded 40 songs to pick 12. Krazy Huh!!!
Synbad: Wow 40 tracks, so what's the difference between your first album and this album?
Ana: Okay, my first album, which was independently released, was more urban regional, because at that time I had just left an all regional girl group, and I wasn't involved in producing the music only in the lyrics & nobody thought Hip Hop in Spanish would last, so doing straight Hip Hop wasn't the way. Also in that album the single was "Poko Hombre" which was me running my mouth, but it is lighter hearted than "Muere Lento" which is my single now. I'm a nice girl, just don't piss me off, and we're kool..(Laughing)
Synbad: What is the hardest part of making an album?
Ana: Being so raw and open, you know not screening my inner thought's, which are
reflected in lyrics. I never realize who it's going to affect or how. I can't take that into consideration, when I'm creating. Also, it makes me very vulnerable to know that someone can buy my album, and know my deepest, most private thoughts, and begin to figure me out.
Synbad: When did you decide you wanted to be a singer and how did you get your
break into the music scene?
Ana: I started writing songs very very early on. I never thought I would actually do it, even though I must admit I used to pay my lil' sister to sit on the couch and clap as I performed "Amor a la Mexicana", the thing is I wasn't lil' anymore, I was growing and my vision of becoming an artist wasn't fogging up, I began to see it with clarity. It sounds cliche, but I think that when you are on the path that is meant for you everything begins to fall into place, and it sucks you in. Also I think you have to start somewhere, remember the turtle wins the race! It's' consistency, and pacing yourself that will get you what you want and discipline is the key. You have to believe in you, if anyone had the formula to make it happen, everyone would be there. As far as getting a break, sh** you live your dream, and truth at any level. You can't wait for someone to come and say oh I believe in you. I invested my own money from day one, in classes and in making an album. Yup... No new car for me, nor designer threads, but I must admit I had great inspiration from people that are self made whom I admire. The best advice I ever got was, "It doesn't happen overnight."
Synbad: Speaking of admiring people, who did you grow up listening to and who has inspired you?
Ana: My biggest inspiration was my dad playing the guitar everyday in my house since I could remember. I could name drop artist who I have never met but admire their music, but I believe that art is life and that the best singers, actors, rappers, painters, are somewhere doing something else because they got trapped in the cycle of life.
Synbad: What other artists are you feeling right now? And are you planning on
collaborating with them in the future?
Ana: There are soo many, where do I begin. I'll start with my genre. I love
Pitbull, being able to flip it in English and Spanish with his impeccable animated, feel good flow. I love Yankee but the songs on his albums with lyrical deep content, I mean "Gasolina" is radio, but I think he's so much more than that, I love his analogies, he's very poetic. I love Akwid when they show their angry passionate side, like "Anda y Ve." It reflects a gansta' that has heart, and is telling me off outa love, pain and jealousy...Dam thatz.. hot!!! Hold on must breathe... Okay moving on, Tego Calderons tone is so chill and cool, he's timing is impressive, he makes music seem effortless. Don Omar pain and deep side kill me. I know how hard it is to be in a male dominated industry. So to the first Latin female rapper in my eyes who is so raw, Ivy Queen really gave a female point of view without playing us, tough but with heart, I have nothing but the utmost respect for her. I also love Mala Rodriguez, when I saw her perform in L.A. a couple years ago, I was so inspired. At that time I was like that's point C, I'm at point A,where do I get the B.? I could go on and on about people I feel, I could really go into genres and start describing everybody and what I love from them, but I'll leave you with a couple more names instead: Silvio Rodriguez,Juan Gabriel, Joan Sebastian, Marco Antonio Solis, Lauren Hill, Eve, Bebe, Bobby Mcferen, Henry Manzini, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Armando Manzanero, Mana,Shakira, Soraya, Da' Brat, Tupac, Los Tucanes, Alejandro Fernandez, N.W.A., Too short, Sugar Hill Gang, Montez de Durango, Mobb Deep, Tierra Blanca,Jay Z, Eminem, I really could go on for pages and pages. Music has become my life and it's like candy to me, every time I listen to new stuff, I'm so intrigued. I am influenced by so many different cultures; better yet I am influenced by the sounds of humanity.
Synbad: What is the most difficult part of pursuing your ambitions?
Ana: (Sighing) The instability of feeling as if your walking constantly on quicksand. I've spent my last couple birthdays recording, or working. The ups and downs, the wanting to see someone and spend quality time with them, but not being in the same city for any length of time. Traveling is not what it seems. The fact that 110% of me is in this, and I'm too deep in to just walk away or disconnect. I wanna belong to someone, and have a home with them, but damn I can't even begin to build with anyone, because I'm still laying the foundation of my dream, so sometimes I think that if I've ever really been loved by anyone, and overlooked it, or didn't nurture it. I am afraid sometimes that I'm missing the main picture. But I have to remember, "Fruit will sprout from where you plant your seeds."
Synbad: So what's gonna be next for Ana, I mean you've already done the TV thing with Mun2, so what about some movies and maybe a clothing line?
Ana: Your funny (smiling). . I have to leave something to your imagination... One step at a time... Do what you love... Everything else will follow!
Ahhh there's the not wanting to give up to much info answer!!! But like she said I better not piss her off!!! Ana's new CD," Miss Ana Alicia Sionez", will hit the stores next Tuesday and as you can see she isn't just another cookie cutter corporate singer but an individual making her own place and on her own terms.
Make sure you start calling LA KALLE and CASA and ask them why they are sleeping on another talented Latina………
