La Toya's Spanish is really good. This is a fun song and much better than anything Gloria Estefan released. I wished there really was a dance to this song so we can all do the salsa. Listen: www.myspace.com/heartdontlieAy ay ay! "I feel like... doing something nasty tonight..." ;) :o

Ok... you're entitled to your opinion, but c'mon... Do you anything about salsa? Really. I'm not kidding or making fun of you. When saying this is better than any Gloria's song....really makes me think that your knowledge of latin music is La Macarena, that Mambo song, Hot Hot Hot and that kind of stuff. I really don't know if this is a joke message or if you're serious. This is like one of those very very very cheesy songs in English from the 80s (music and LYRICS) that are supposed to be very "Latin", very "Tropical"........ rrright. Her accent sounds so white and the lyrics could not be cheesier or more cliche. If you want to learn about salsa, get the real deal from a serious salseros like Oscar De Leon, Mark Anthony, Ruben Blades, Celia Cruz and many more. Or if you want real quality instrumentation and latin music with flavor and heart from Gloria, get Mi Tierra or Alma Caribena. Cool if you love LaToya. Good for you! But don't say this is salsa or don't compare it to serious salsa artists please. It's almost almost disrespectful. Thanks anyway for your opinion and taking the time to put a link and everything. You must have been truly excited about this in my opinion campy cheesy song.

From: www.deadendinternet.com/badgirl/"Do The Salsa" includes portions of La Toya talking in Spanish: Siento el ritmo de salsa (I feel the rhythm of the salsa), Es una noche para el amor (It's a night for love), and Vamos a bailar (We're going to dance). This was voted the best song on "Bad Girl" on the message boards at The Church of La Toya.
