I don't really know much about this band. I just saw the video for this song on LATV and was instantly impressed. Its so entrancing.

Zoe is a great band. I saw them live at the Hard Rock Cafe in Dallas a couple of years ago. They're great live.
Their first album (I think it was their first) ROCANLOVER was pretty good, and I was aware they were about to release a new one but wasn't sure when. I hear this new one is supposed to be their attempt at a crossover to the english market.
I hope not because most of the latin artists who start to sing with that attempt to crossover fail miserably. Even alternative/rock acts such as La Ley and Shakira just sound weak in English.

wow, I didn't know La Ley attemped to crossover in the English Market. :o
Some other rock act I know that tried singing a little bit of English was Ely Guerra in her last album. Not good.

Well, I don't know if you would call La Ley's english recordings an attempt to crossover completely, but surely they wanted to expand their fan base in the US and Europe. The couple of english tracks I have heard from them sound really weak.
And actually, I really dig Ely Guerra. I think she is one of the very feeeeeew latin artists who can get away with recording in English and sound really good. I thought her last album SWEET & SOUR, SPICY Y HOT was terrific. But then again, maybe I'm just enfautated with her... :)

Yeah, I agree that her album was good, but I only felt that her English needed a little work.

I think that Ely, like Julieta Venegas, have lived in the US for a while.
