Anyone else have this? I got this on a recommendation from a friend and it's an awesome album. I know Death Cab has tons of albums, and this is their most recent. Anyone know of some older songs worth checking out? My favorite songs on this album are "The New Year," "Title and Registration," and "A Lack of Color."

Wow, I just noticed this forum. Beautiful. I've talked about this band in a few other threads, but I guess there's no reason I can't join in here. I know I've heard some of this album during photography class in high school. (I assume the teacher is a big DCFC/Postal Service fan) It was alright from what I've heard. The singles were "The New Year", "The Sound of Settling", and "Title and Registration". Naturally, living in Seattle, The End has given them a ton of airplay. I thought "The Sound of Settling" was OK, but Ben Gibbard's "ba pa's" (which is his trademark, it seems) usually get to me. It's good if I haven't heard it in a while, but I've heard it a few times in a brief period, it gets annoying. I think "The New Year", on the other hand, is brilliant. Mostly because I can connect to the lyrics so easily and completely, and it seems ironic that it would come from a band from out here. Just one of the most excellent pieces of songwriting in the last five years. The haunting melody they add in only heightens that feeling. They actually have a new song out called "World Shut Your Mouth", which is a cover of the Julian Cope song. I don't think it's an official single, just a B-side to "Title and Registration", but it's really catchy, and KNDD has been giving this some minor airplay over the last couple months. So you can check that one out, if you want. Also, KNDD has a local music show called "The Young and the Restless" which airs every Sunday at 8PM Pacific. I don't listen to it, but I imagine Death Cab are fairly regularly played on that show, and you can listen to it online as well.

I love the title track too. I really enjoy the song "Tiny Vessels." Yeah, every song on this album is great. Some great lyrics on this album as well. I think "Title and Registration" is the catchiest song on the album... A Lack Of Color" is the song that convinved me to buy it though (and the only song I heard before buying it).

My owner? I don't get it. ??? LOL, nevermind I get it now. Reference to my user name haha. Nope, a real life friend recommended it to me, not Seth Cohen. Though I always like it when my favorite TV characters like the same bands as me.

I burned this album from a friend during the Super Bowl, but I have yet to listen to any of it. I know I've heard/seen at least 1 of the first two singles on Subterranean and at Target. I doubt I'd recognize it now.

I got the entire discography off the internet, but my favorite tracks are all from this album. The title track and Title & Registration are the best.
