supposedly yes. he's not on the AOL performance though. but they're signed to Jay-Z's label, and Jay has publicly mentioned that he's a fan and been seen at their shows. and here's Pete throwing blows at a concert! www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzhX9HA1ZW8

Oh btw Jay Z is in the song, just the intro. and the end, where he yells out "YOUNG! FOB! *something else!" for a Jay-Z guest appearance it's kind of lame (he doesn't even really rap), but the actual song is good. i'm almost halfway thru...really liking it so far.

this album is great!!! not at all a dissapointment to me.
The Lawyer song (I refuse to type out that whole title) sounds kind of boy-band ish, but i like it lol. "Golden" is this low-key piano ballad...i didn't know Patrick could sing like that. and the rest of it is basically like their other albums, but with a bit more flourishes. they expanded on their sound while not completely changing it, which i like.

REVIEW 3: Album Release Date: February 6, 2007 Artist(s): Fall Out Boy, Jay-Z, Panic! At The Disco Album: Infinity On High
Their last album made them mainstream and sold millions with their hits "Sugar, We're Goin' Down", "Dance Dance", and "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Touch Me". They are back with "Infinity On High" that features the lead single "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race" dominating on iTunes right now.
1. "Thriller" The track opens with Jay-Z talking about the fans and the people who have been supportive.. I was hoping Jay would at least spit a few bars...no. The song is a decent open. Nothing mind blowing.
2. "The Take Over, The Break's Over" This song sounds so familiar. For some reason at times I think it is track 10 ("The Carpal Tunnel Of Love"). I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
3. "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race" Finally a really good song, but there is something that is not letting me think of it as a classic Fall Out Boy song. The song is experimental and it really pays off. 100,000 iTunes buyers think so also since it is taking over the charts.
4. "I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You)" The longest title on the CD and one of the best songs on the disc. The song sounds very poppy. I like the different styles they have been doing on the CD so far. I would much rather have a risky album than a safe one (as long as there are a few regulars). This song is full of the lyrics that make Fall Out Boy well Fall Out Boy. The vocals in the chorus almost sound like Mark Hoppus from punk band blink-182
5. "Hum Hallelujah" Another "experimental" song in my opinion. It pays off amazingly. The vocals are astonishing. Pop radio will be loving this album and it is only five tracks in. The lyrics in this song are also very point on. If I was to relate this to a past single of Fall Out Boy I would say "A Little Less Sixteen Candles"
6. "Golden" Again with the experiments. This is a ballad with a piano. Patrick Stump does an amazing job.
7. "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" I'm assuming the title means Thanks For The Memories, and thank you Fall Out Boy for this song! I have a favorite song, then I hear another and I like the new one even more.
8. "Don't You Know Who I Think I Am?" Decent song...nothing really that special.
9. "The (After) Life Of The Party"Starts out light and transitions into a harder song which actually really suits Fall Out Boy very well.
10. "The Carpal Tunnel Of Love" OMG. I f**king love this song. Ahem...ok...I bought this song on iTunes a few weeks ago because I have been very anxious to hear new material from them. This song is awesome. I love the screamo and the addicting choruses. I'm glad this was album to chart on the Hot 100 due to high downloads.
11. "Bang The Doldrums" In the beginning, I got kind of a Green Day feeling.
12. "Fame < Infamy" For some reason, this feels like a future single to me.
13. "You're Crashing, But You're No Wave" I think this is another song Pop radio is going to like. This album is a lot more mainstream which for some fans they might not like, but I think if you liked their last album, you will like this a lot.
14. "I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers" A nice finish to one of the best albums of 2007! (ha!)
The beginning of the album started out a bit slow, but dramatically changed by track 3. Of course, giving them another listen, I could like them a lot, but reviews are based on first impressions. I see traces of bands like blink-182, Green Day, among a few others. Fall Out Boy is using other bands stragtegies with their own added in and the idea really worked.
Best songs: "Arms Race", "I'm Like A Lawyer", ""Hum Hallelujah", "Carpal Tunnel", and basically every other song besides 1+2 (at first listen)
My grade: A My prediction: #1 on Billboard 200 (300,000 first week) Total sales: 3,000,000 3x Platinum

"I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers" is actually the WalMart bonus track...which makes me happy because I don't have to download crappy WMA files. not sure why it's on this promo, because i've heard it's not even on the WalMart CD, just downloads I think...
other retailers will probably have other bonus tracks, as will other countries. the UK is getting "G.I.A.S.F.S." (which is "Gay isn't a synonym for shitty"), and Japan is getting a song called "True Blue" with Ashlee Simpson (wtf?) and possibly another. There's going to be a Jason Nevins remix of "Arms Race" as a bonus at one of the U.S. stores, not sure which but Nevins mentioned it on his myspace.
