Best songs: "Arms Race", "I'm Like A Lawyer", ""Hum Hallelujah", "Carpal Tunnel", and basically every other song besides 1+2 (at first listen) That's funny considering the first two were the ones they sung on AOL sessions, and the ones I didn't really like. Hopefully I like the rest of the album.

On first listen, I didn't really like the CD all that much but once I listened to it again it's getting a WHOLE lot better.
I did this with TTTYG though also.

wait, is it really the 6th?
1. Evening Out With Your Girlfriend (apparently they don't even approve of this as an official release ,as only half of the final band is on it...Pete sings lead) 2. Take This to Your Grave 3. From Under the Cork Tree 4. Infinity on High
they've also had some EPs (My Heart is the B-side to Your Tongue, Split [with some other artist]) but i don't really count those.

YAAAAAY!! Best Buy is doing a pre-order for the album, which includes a limited edition laminate for free and download codes for 2 bonus tracks, a remix to Arms Race (probably the Jason Nevins one) and "Gay isn't a synonym for shitty" (in annoying abbreviation form). the songs will probably come from in the store version as well, but i don't want to risk it. and it costs $9.99 with free shipping, which is what it'll cost in stores so I think it's a good deal!! my only problem is that I hope the downloads work. i fucked up downloading the bonus track from the Lady Sovereign album and then it said I already used the code.

That's awesome. I was hoping they'd put that song out somehow since I saw the title mentioned a while ago. But why do they have to do the abbreviated form? Anyways, I'm loving this CD. I really didn't think it'd be this good. Now, just to decide whether I should pre-order from Best Buy. I wonder if the in-store version will also have the bonus tracks.

HITS:
HELP ON ITS WAY? The music industry, which has floundered into 2007 with three weeks of really ugly sales, is expected to get a much-needed lift in the next few weeks with the release of new albums from a pair of marquee artists, followed by the Grammys and Valentine's Day, which have significantly boosted sales in the past. Bruce Lundvall’s Blue Note is shipping a whopping 1.7 million on the third album from Norah Jones (whose previous effort sold 4.3 million in the U.S.), setting up the Jan. 30 release for a potentially huge first week. The second album from Island/IDJ’s breakthrough rock band Fall Out Boy (2.5 million on the 2005 debut), with an I.O. of 1.2 million, is scheduled for the following week. (1/25p)

1.2 million is pretty damn impressive for them. That means they expect about 400K first week total which is damned decent in this day and age.

That is awesome that they sent out that much. I really hope they sell well with this album and that people can get over the whole "Omg you like Fall Out Boy so you must have horrible music taste."
