Very Nice. Sounds like old R & B music. I like it.
You can also hear it at johnlegend.com and see the very handsome single cover. It plays from beginning to end upon entering his site.

Oh, good. New material. I'm sick of playing "Get Lifted" at this point. The last time he came through town my friends and I didn't even go because we felt like we'd already seen that set a million times. Lol. I like "Save Room". The old school soul vibe is nice. Although I'll miss the infusion of hip-hop he had in the first album if it doesn't show up in at least of a few of the tracks. "Used To Love U" may not have charted very well, but I loved that song.

I'm really feeling this track. A bit Stevie Wonder, but still John Legend.

I can't wait. He's my favorite male artist, and he deserves even more success than he received the last time out. I wish him the best.

Singer-songwriter John Legend says his new album is 'richer' than his Grammy-winning debut Posted 8/29/2006 5:30 PM ET
NEW YORK (AP) - Don't expect John Legend to stray too far from his Grammy-winning, silky R&B style on his sophomore album, Once Again.
"It's not dramatically different but I think people will see it as a growth and an extension for me. It's a richer sound," the 27-year-old singer-songwriter told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "The production is more developed. ... I just tried to do it with the highest standards of quality."
One special guest who helped enhance the quality was Mary J. Blige, who performs a duet with Legend. Though he had worked with Blige before, Legend said he got to know her better this time around.
"She's really sweet and she's very easy to work with ... very humble," he said in a phone interview. "It was kind of refreshing."
Legend's 2004 debut album, Get Lifted, was a platinum success and earned him win three Grammy Awards, including best new artist.
He was to give fans a preview of his new release with a concert in New York City's Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday night, also available on Verizon Wireless' VCast service.
"We're just going where the fans are," Legend said.
He has shot a video for the first single from the new album, which is titled Save Room.
Legend describes the video as sexy, but "not salacious. ... It's kind of like a-day-in-the-life kind of video. ... I think it's tasteful and it's realistic."
Once Again is scheduled for release Oct. 24.

Grammy winner John Legend (left) headlined the One X One event – which coincided with the Toronto Film Festival – while Brad Pitt's pal Wyclef Jean gave a surprise performance with the African Children's Choir.

^^^^^^^^^^^Umm this reminds me of another artist who copied Alicia Keys with the piano. I expected more.
How many Will.i.am songs made it onto the final track list? I hope none. Saadiqq tracks should be nice.
Will.i.am the wannabe Wyclef.

I don't mind the song, but I don't quite get the video. Anyway, I just like Legend's sound -- I'm looking for a good vibe to his next record, and I can see liking "Save Room" even more in the context of the whole album. Looking forward to it!

Is cover is so nice, he is one cool dude. About the video, I didn't watch the whole thing but I did see.... him rolling around in the bed with a woman. I'm not surprised though, he's a 27-28 year old man and I don't care how talented the person is they will find a way to roll around with some woman. Reminded me of Adam Levine in the video with "this love", the way he was rolling and whatnot.

I love the cover. Especially the reflection in the finish of the piano.

They have this up for pre-order on iTunes now with a big ad. I think the cover is great. I really like "Save Room." I'm looking forward to his new CD. I noiced that on the iTunes version the song "King & Queen" is missing, so I'm wondering if that's an error or if Amazon.com has the wrong tracklist.

Thanks for the link. The Oprah performances were good. I was glad to see him out from behind the piano also. His stage presence is getting better. When I saw Alicia at the Kodak Theater I was happy that she didn't stay behind the piano the whole time. It's good to see them both connect with the audience more. I'm feeling the CD cover and the songs on the tracklisting seem interesting. I hope that Columbia Records aren't planning to release this without the proper single set-up because Save Room isn't doing too well and people won't know that it's out yet.

I'm interested in this project a lot. I knew that John was heading in this direction for some reason. It'll be nice to see how the project is received by critics and the public. Maybe he can truly crossover, so that mainstream can appreciate his talents more.
