Cd Title: IncredibleConfirmed Producers: Ashanti Polow Da Don Babyface The Neptunes Jermaine Dupri Irv Gotti L.T. Hutton Dr. Dre 7 Aurelius Swizz Beats Bryan Michael Cox Tracks Possibly On Cd: •Here's My Number Babe Feat. Channel 7 •You Can't Deny It Feat. Jim Jones Confirmed Collabs: Robin Thicke Jim Jones Snoop Dogg Babyface On Friday, April 06, 2007, HUFF Events & PR (Ashanti's P.R. Group) confirmed that Ashanti has just finished recording some hot joints with super producers Pharrell Williams, Polow Da Don, Dr. Dre, Ron "Neff-U" Feemstar and L.T. Hutton. It was also confirmed that she has collaborated with fellow singers Robin Thicke, Babyface, rapper/boyfriend Nelly, and producers Bryan Michael Cox and Swizz Beats. Irv Gotti recently appeared in an interview with DJ FlexMaster where he mentioned Ashanti's album will "definitely be out this Summer". He was also quoted addressing the fact that Ashanti has ventured out and acquired producers and collaborations primarily outside the inc for the first time by saying, "she's having her little Janet Jackson "Control" moment. Every artist has their moment when the feel they need to take over their own music. This is hers." Rumors are circulating that Ashanti has left The Inc Records for a 15-20 million, four year contract with Jive records but no reliable sources have surfaced to back up this claim. She is also gonna be in Resident Evil: Extinction as a firepowered Florence Nightingale named Nurse Betty and a new spike lee movie called You're Nobody 'til Somebody Kills You. Another rumor floating around is that she was seen with Q. Taratino and may revive the role of Christy in Get Christy Love for a movie.

This is like the third thread about this album.
Basically, I don't think her stuff is anything special but I'll always support her because she was one of the first singers I liked haha. I still really enjoy her music though, and she has one of the best personalities in the pop/R&B-singing-girls world.

Her music is good but her music doesn't reflect her personality all the time. She can be very predictable. Only U was a step in the right direction though. This is why im happy she is working with new producers. She needs to switch it up and also let a few other write for her.

Yeah, 'Only U' was definitely one of the best moves she's made. 7 did great songs with her. I'm glad she's still working with him, but I agree that it's also a good thing that she's finally working with other producers.

Love me some Ashanti! I own each of her albums, and will continue supporting her so long as she continues putting out music.
I just hope she puts less filler in her albums. I've been SUPER reluctant to admit it, but if "Concrete Rose" wasn't a wake-up call, I don't know what was. lol

I think it clicked in her head that she needed to take another direction. lol

This will be her best album! I'm looking forward to it. I can't believe it's been 2 1/2 years since her last real album. "Concrete Rose" was supposed to be her "Charmbracelet" so her next album could be her "Emancipation" but I'm not sure if she's quite there yet. Nonetheless it will be a hit! Nu Ashanti!

Can't we just use the other thread like 4 threads that were started?
This board has a search function, LOL.

I still see much potential in her and had it not been for the 2004 FBI investigation that halted the promotion of Concrete Rose it would have been interesting to see her continue the new sound she introduced with the rock-tinged Only U. Focus would have been an excellent follow-up and then the bedtime ballad Don't Leave Me Alone next.
She's stayed out of the spotlight for some time now and if she can kick off the album with the right lead single then I see a major comeback on the horizon.

I think many songs on Concrete Rose were extremely good. 'Only U', 'Focus', 'U' & 'Don't Leave Me Alone' were fantastic.

She needs a hot first single and if it contains a sample it has to be something that isnt easy to recognize.

This better be THE album of her career. Her first album was the album of her career, but I still think she gets better and better. Each album is better than the last for me. I know most people don't think so though. I'm hoping this album is better than Concrete Rose. I'm not a big fan of Ashanti (the person), but I do like her music.

This new album has to be better than her debut. And I don't think it will be which is why I still have reservations about this project.

100 bucks says that her single will have a word that is repeated over and over and over again. The word might even be "baby".
