Wow, a Part 3 thread? I rarely see anyone get a Part 3 thread. Go Christina! I love her 'Candyman' video. It's very hot.

Actually, i thought about it and those sales arent that bad. you have to remember that she gained a lot from her Grammy performance and the Grammy effect is over, so she is obviously gonna go down. So thats not too bad.

I've also seen the complaint that this is a double disc and sells for a few dollars higher than other albums. That could also be the reason that sales are still low. But at least she's still selling. The real test will be if it increases over the next few weeks. I can't wait to see what 'Candyman' does for this album.

yes its very expensive 16.99 - 18.99 in most places. Basically RCA is getting revenue of this cause 1 million to them equals 2 million because of the price.

I think how much her sales exploded when the Christmas holidays with Christmas sales says that the price is effecting sales (meaning if it were selling for 9 or 10 dollars everywhere it would be selling more)...but obviously, its also because she has not had a huge airplay hit from this era (yet or ever?) I think she is doing pretty well especially compared to cheaper cds from artists who have been promoting nonstop and have 3-4 massive airplay hits selling only 1-2 million. I hope Candyman will push her to double platinum at least!

Can someone explain to me how labels get $ from selling albums? Do they get $10-15 for an album or what. Thanks.

I'm happy the album appeared at least on the HITS Final update, even though it wont be on the actual TOP50 of the Billboard TOP200 cause hits always get her sales a bit off. To be honest I thought that this post-grammy week would be pretty bad for her and would see the album going way down, so I'm happy somehow she has 'hold on'
I'm putting my hopes on Candyman to help this album get on track of a steady week by week sales and eventually get near to 1,7m - 1,8 million. Candyman is only one week officially on radios and things are looking good, today the bullet is a 410+ and it has more than a thousand spins. Plus the song is getting an amazing response on iTunes and is at #26. And not forgetting that we still have the 'official remix' that hopefully RCA will deliver in time for radios and it will really BE a GREAT remix.
So I'm still optimistic that Candyman will sell more copies of this album and it will eventually land on the 2 million house. In Europe things are looking good, candyman is already blowing up in the iTunes of the UK and German for example, simply after the video play, so I'm putting my hopes that song and that amazing video will def make the album sell a lot more copies.

Not really it' retailing at 1.5 to 1.75 of a one disc trac. Also, the production cost of the album are in the range of Michael Jackson's Dangerous, so they have a lot to make up.

'Candyman' is a little different but the song sucks with no hook (hence the reason why it's flopping). With the exception of 2-3 songs that sound in the 30s-40s, the rest is all 90s-00s (which is like 20 songs between the 2 cds). she can keep wearing that damn red lipstick and powder her face all she wants .. she's only fooling her die hard fans who can't to see through her fake facade!

Um, for your information, a lot of h8ers were the ones making a big whoop-dee-doo about the B2B singles sounding too "different." LOL!

I think haters should at least try to find a way to keep it consistent! Her publicist denied her being pregnant, but more and more rumors are swirling...

I wish Christina would make a strictly R&B album.

I wish Christina would make a strictly R&B album. That would be interesting, she definitely got the vocals for it. But I'd like her to try old-school R&B ('70s) instead of contemporary R&B. Granted, it might not exactly rake in the sales, but it would still be one hell of a listen imo.

Maybe something like it, I'd like a smooth musical background instead of thumping beats. Some songs on Stripped and B2B show that she doesn't need a lot behind her to make a good song, so I think she's perfectly capable.

I'm just happy Christina is making music that she loves! I loved Stripped...I thought she got her point across that she wasn't the "good lil girl" that the label had tried to paint her as with her first CD! and I love B2B...
I disagree that she's not taking chances. I don't hear any other females artists doing the thing Christina's doing.... and Candyman is a song that makes people want to bop around...it's a throw back to wartime big band songs IMO like stuff like that there....
Saw her video today for Candyman and gotta say girl is lookin hella fine in it!
