Well originally Kelly lost weight got lipo. And I think Carrie might have gone that route as well, she's just so skinny now. I wouldn't be surprised if Jordin was forced to lose weight. It certainly would NOT be a bad thing. And as for sexing it up, let's face it. Sex sells.
I know sex sells but she portrays this wholesome sweet image and she also has some strong beliefs so it will be interesting to see if she "sells" out.
Well Lindsay Lohan started out as such a wholesome girl but look at her now. Seriously.

As far as her cd goes, as i've said before, i think Clive will put an effort fourth. I wouldn't be suprised if she records some material that was left off Diana/Katharine's debuts.

Melinda should have won but Jordin will probably lose weight and do a Kat Mcphee with a little Diana Degarmo. She is "17" after all. well best of luck to her.

hopefully she will have a good album... I think she will go for the pop/r&b way... with a few pop/country tracks, mainly pop...

Well Jordin likes Kelly, she says, so all those "Hits" that Clive was going to stuff the new Kelly Clarkson album with when she turned him down can now go on Jordin's new album- see, everyone walks away happy. All those number 1's don't get wasted after all.

"This Is My Now" is flopping. They screwed up not releasing it as a CD single. Both Taylor and Kat did better last year.

from an MTV interview . CD out by Thanksgiving . would like to duet with Chris Brown and Mario . does that mean she might go more of an R&B route. www.mtv.com/news/articles/1560874/20070531/id_0.jhtmlJun 1 2007 6:01 AM EDT 'American Idol' Champ Jordin Sparks Wants Chris Brown, Mario On Debut Singer will work during Idols Live Tour on material for album, due 'before Thanksgiving.' By James Montgomery, with reporting by Sasha Hamrogue Del.icio.us Digg Newsvine Send Print You Tell Us The sixth season of "American Idol" is all over — save the Idols Live Tour — and while most of the world struggles to find a new reason to live (Tuesdays and Wednesdays feel so empty), newly crowned champ Jordin Sparks faces a struggle of a different sort: trying to stay sane. "This is so intense. It's crazy," she laughed. "I haven't been home yet since I won. I was in L.A. and then New York, and now I'll finally get to go home and spend some time with my friends. I hope." Such is life for the "Idol" princess. Since taking home the title last week (see "Sparks Flies: Jordin Takes 'American Idol' Crown" and "Jordin Marvels At 'American Idol' Win: 'My Heartbeat Was Pounding In My Ears' "), Sparks has been on a seemingly endless parade of interviews and promotional appearances. And it doesn't look like things will be slowing down anytime soon — quite the opposite, in fact. The show's summer tour kicks off July 6, and Sparks already has a deadline for her debut album. That means it's never too early to begin soliciting for collaborators, a list Sparks says includes a couple of crooners popular with the under-17 set. "I'd love to do a duet with Mario or Chris Brown ... but let's see what happens," she said. "I have a lot of work ahead of me. I have a deadline [for my album] already. It should be out before Thanksgiving. And I'm going to be doing the tour and trying to find songs at the same time. And then after the tour, it's gonna be record, record, record, write, write, write." And just what will Sparks' yet-untitled debut sound like? Well, according to her, a lot like ... pretty much everything. "I can't really describe what I want it to sound like. I'm a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll, a little bit pop, a little bit R&B," she said. "I listen to Nat King Cole and Patsy Cline and Bon Jovi and Heart and 'NSYNC and Britney and Christina and Justin Timberlake too. I want to mix it all together. I hope people like it. On the show, [you had to be] versatile. You had to do everything and twist it around and make it your own. So I'm used to being like that." And while the pressure will undoubtedly be on Sparks to perform on par with former "Idol" champs, she said she's actually more worried about living up to another set of expectations: those of her young fans. "The other day, I walked outside, and there were these two little girls out there, and they said, 'Jordin, you're my inspiration! I want to be like you!,' and it was so amazing," she said. "I get emotional about it, because I remember being a little girl and looking up to people. And now little girls are looking up to me, and I love it. "Being a teenager is hard — I mean, you look at magazines, and it's in your face all the time — 'you've got to lose weight or change or you'll never make it' — and I want to change all that," she continued. "I want to break the mold and be somebody girls look up to. I'm not much of a partyer — I don't drink or anything like that — so I don't think you'll catch me out at all those types of things. I'm comfortable with who I am, and I don't want to change. I love being me. I was happy before 'Idol,' and I'll be happy after." I dont think releasing a physical will do much. I mean her fans are mostly juvenile, Im sure digital appeals to her audience more than physical singles.

Well I hope she does well. And good for her wanting to be true to herself. Hopefully she can succeed at it and not give in as most others do.

I still wish they had a physical cd. I have a hard time believing her whole fanbase buy digital only. I mean, im not a Jordin fanatic but i want her single. Unfortuantly, she won't be getting my money/support because I don't buy from itunes. I'm sure others (her older fanbase) is the same way.
Perhaps it wouldn't have a huge impact, but still... How do you know if you don't try?

Billboard:
ARTIST: JORDIN SPARKS/BLAKE LEWIS,
SINGLE: THIS IS MY NOW
The retail universe has dramatically changed from one year ago, where "American Idol" victory songs were carefully controlled by physical release -- all but ensuring their debut at the top of The Billboard Hot 100. Because of hastily recorded studio versions of weekly performances this year, all tracks are available for download, including "This Is My Now," the chosen melodic champ for winner Jordin Sparks and runner-up Blake Lewis, which bows on the Hot 100 at Nos. 15 and 18, respectively. While mainstream press reviews for the melodramatic ballad have been unkind -- and so far, airplay seems scant -- Sparks soars like an eagle with a consummate performance, while Lewis flaps his wings hard with an admittedly misfit tune. Meanwhile, the intriguing historic query remains to be seen: Do radio and a weary audience care about propelling TV's No. 1 reality pageant into another chart-topper?

there is talk that Jordin may be in the running to perform the National Athem at the 2008 Superbowl. www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/local/articles/0617sb-jordin0617.htmlSparks on Super Bowl radar Erin Zlomek The Arizona Republic Jun. 17, 2007 12:00 AM Only two weeks after Jordin Sparks' American Idol win, rumors started swirling that the Valley teen would sing the national anthem at Super Bowl XLII in Glendale. Jordin's management team would not confirm the rumor. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy did not rule out the possibility but said a final decision would not be made until late fall and no discussions with the 17-year-old's representation have taken place. However, many insiders say the chances look good. advertisement For one, Fox, which owns rights to Idol, will broadcast the Feb. 3 game. "You could almost rule it out if it was CBS or some other network, but I'd say there is a good chance," said Ellman Cos. and Westgate City Center spokesman Jeff Hecht. Hecht worked with a Fox legal team when Jordin performed at Westgate for Idol's homecoming episode. McCarthy said the game's broadcasting network often suggests performers and usually has input during the artist selection process. The ultimate decision lies with the NFL, he said. In Super Bowls past, it has not been uncommon to see local flavor on the game's entertainment menu. When the Super Bowl came to Tempe in 1996, the pregame show featured a celebration of Native American culture and Wild West traditions. At Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, Houston-native Beyonce Knowles sang the national anthem. Detroit-raised Aretha Franklin sang when Super Bowl XL was played in the Motor City in 2006. So, locals ask, why not Jordin this time around? "It would be absolutely perfect seeing that Phillippi (Jordin's dad) played football and because the game will be held at the new stadium," Sparks family friend Stephanie Rigby said. "I almost can't think of why she wouldn't."

And as for sexing it up, let's face it. Sex sells.
Just so you know, Carrie has stated that she has lost the weight through healthy exercise and proportioning. Also, Carrie stated that when she was on Idol, she was extremely stressed, and when she's stressed, she eats more. I'm 99.999999999% sure that Carrie did not get lipo! About Jordin, it wouldn't surprise me if they want her to lose weight. She is not big at all. She could stand to lose a few pounds, but she doesn't need to lose a lot.
