an article using that picture says they might be a couple . watch out Blake she is only 17. www.tmz.com/2007/06/22/blake-feelin-sparks/Blake Feelin' Sparks?! Posted Jun 22nd 2007 10:15AM by TMZ Staff Filed under: American Idol They've denied up and down that they're an item, but Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis have been looking awfully co-co-co-zy in the afterglow of their "American Idol" glory. A TMZ spy spotted the "Idol" finalists "holding hands" while shopping at a Fry's Electronics store near L.A. We're told that they wandered around the store, unmolested, and seemed "happy" together. Blake was overheard saying to the 17-year-old Jordin, "We should call your mom." Need a ride, kids? Here, B & J yuk it up for photogs, as Blake rocks an outfit that seamlessly blends New Kids on The Block and low-rent surf dude chic. The pair will tour with the rest of the "Idol" crew this summer, but it looks like they've got their own duet.

also an interview with Jordin from her local paper. www.azcentral.com/news/articles/0621gl-jordin0621-ON.htmlJordin adjusting to fame Erin Zlomek The Arizona Republic Jun. 21, 2007 12:26 PM After a nationwide media tour that sent her from Los Angeles to New York City twice in one week, American Idol winner Jordin Sparks returned home to Glendale for some rest and relaxation earlier this month. Now back in Hollywood, Sparks is prepping for the AI summer concert tour which rolls through her hometown, stopping at Jobing.com Arena, on July 18. For the first time since her Idol win, Sparks spoke exclusively with The Glendale Republic about criticism over her weight, her new life in the spotlight and her reunion with the other Idol contestants. While in Arizona, Sparks hung out with friends but kept a low profile. Now back in the studio rehearsing dance steps and duets, the singer said she already misses the comforts of home. During her interview, Sparks was quick to point out that her friendship with Idol runner-up Blake Lewis is still strong: "I love Blake, I talk to him every day. We are totally different artists and have totally different tastes in music. I think his album is going to be more eclectic, but I can't wait to buy (it)." Question: Since you won American Idol I know you've been superbusy. Do you find that your old friendships have been hard to maintain? Answer: It's kind of hard, because things are not the same. I went home for a couple of days and hung out with my best friends. They were like, "What do you want to do?" and I'm like, "Go to the mall?" and then we'd look at each other and I go, "Oh yeah, I forgot, sorry." I wasn't sure how people would respond to seeing me in public. Q: Has your management tried to push you in any direction, either stylewise or musicwise, that you've had to resist because you didn't feel that it suited you? A: I don't think I've resisted anything yet because I'm not really sure how (my album) is going to sound . . . I'm still very open to everything. Hopefully this next week I'll have (album) songs to listen to. I definitely want it to be radio friendly, like top 40 kind of stuff. I definitely haven't been approached to be any type of sex symbol or anything, but I think if I was asked I would have to resist. I wouldn't feel comfortable exposing my midriff. However, at the same time, I do want to be cute. Q: I know that right now you live close to the northwest portion of Phoenix that has a Glendale mailing address. Why do you identify with Glendale more so than Phoenix? A: I know they are two different cities, but my whole life growing up I had a Glendale address. I love Glendale. It's a cute town and it's growing and getting bigger. Where I do live, I know a lot of people who live in Glendale that are by me. Q: Shortly after your win, I read that an obesity expert had criticized your weight and that later on, your fans had sent the critic death threats. What was your reaction to that situation? A: The first time I heard that that had happened, it was from someone interviewing me over the phone. I had no idea, I was like, "What are you talking about?" I had no idea what to say. I turned to my mom and was like, "OK, moving on." (Laughs.) I love that my fans were so devoted. Q: Has the attention surrounding your weight forced you to reconsider your appearance at all? A: I expected people to talk about (my weight), it's what everyone talks about nowadays. Everybody is obsessed with weight and what they look like. I am totally comfortable with who I am. If someone else isn't, that's OK. It's one of those things I let roll off my back. Q: What did you do while you were home? Are there any hometown spots that you already miss? A: When I was home, I hung out with friends but stayed around the house, within a five-mile radius. But the night before I left, I went to the Keith Urban concert (at the U.S. Airways Center ), it was so amazing. Now that I'm gone, I miss my house, I miss sleeping in my own bed. Q: What has been the best experience as a result of winning Idol? A: Everything coming off of it. I got to see New York City. I was on (MTV's) Total Request Live, which was so weird because that was a show I watched. And all the photo shoots and radio shoots have all been so great. Q: How has winning the show affected your personal life? Do you have a boyfriend? A: (Laughs). I don't have a boyfriend . . . but I never really had one before the show, so I don't really know the difference. It hasn't affected my love life. Sometimes guys ask to go out with me, but I'm like, "I don't even know you!"

she is looking at songs already and has 2 that she likes at least so far . www.etonline.com/tv/spotlight/48730/ Jordin Sparks is Living the 'Idol' Dream June 26, 2007 "Nothing can prepare you for what happens afterwards," Jordin Sparks says of her "American Idol" win. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This year's "American Idol" winner gets ready to head out on the road -- and record her album at the same time! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JORDIN SPARKS is gearing up for the Pop Tarts™ Presents American Idols Live! Tour 2007, kicking off on July 6 in Sunrise, FL. But as the youngest-ever "Idol," Jordin can't go alone, so she will be taking her family along for the adventure of a lifetime! ET caught up with the 17-year-old from Glendale, AZ, at her rehearsal in Burbank, CA, and this is what she told us: "My mom is going to come for the first leg of the tour, then my nana and then my uncle is going to come because he loves music. I was, 'You need to come with me.' He is 23. It is going to be really cool." In addition to rehearsals for the tour, which will feature music not performed this past season on the show, Jordin has already begun reviewing songs for her album. "I actually got a couple of songs the other day," she reveals. "I love them. I am so excited about them. I haven't gone and recorded anything yet. We are still in the starting stages of it." That means Jordin is going to have to fly back and forth between Los Angeles and the cities where she is performing to get the job done. "I am just praying that my voice stays up," she adds. Life for the sixth "American Idol" has changed dramatically now that her time isn't her own. But she insists that she doesn't regret it for a minute. "I still can't believe it is actually happening," she admits. "It has been great. I asked for it, and I am so glad I got it."

I wouldn't be surprised if Clive takes a couple of those songs he wanted Kelly C. to record and gets them to Jordan. I'm very anxious to hear her cd and just what type of sound they go with for her - I'd love to see her rocking out Breakaway type songs.
I will totally Squeeeeeee if she has a SUBG/Girlfriend/Who Knew/Miss Independent type song on her cd!

Better than RCA. I can't remember but I think Taylor went to Artista too. Blake would probably be the one going to RCA (like Kat did).

Right now I'm touring with the Pop Tarts American Idols Live tour, and I'm loving it! Jordin spent 8 hours this past Thursday recording for her upcoming CDin Omaha. www.omaha.com/index.php?u_page=2620&u_sid=10095341&u_rss=1&Published Saturday | August 4, 2007 'Idol' star makes use of Omaha studio BY NIZ PROSKOCIL WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER Jordin Sparks makes good use of a day off. American Idol Jordin SparksThe Glendale, Ariz., teen vocalist and current "American Idol" champ spent eight hours Thursday working on music for a forthcoming album at Omaha's Rainbow Recording Studios, 2322 S. 64th Ave. "She's on the road, recording songs when they get a free day," said studio owner and engineer Nils Anders Erickson. Sparks, 17, was in town to perform Friday at the Qwest Center Omaha with fellow finalists from the sixth season of "American Idol." Erickson said Sparks' management called him a few days before she arrived in Omaha to reserve his studio. "We had exactly the right equipment that they wanted," he said. "Our studio was compatible with what they're using." Rainbow, whose clients have included Boyz II Men, 311 and Stevie Wonder's band, recently upgraded its Pro-Tools digital recording software. A crew of about a half-dozen people, including "Idol" finalist Melinda Doolittle, accompanied Sparks, whom Erickson called "just the sweetest person." "She's bubbly, full of energy," he said. "The coolest part is she really can sing. She probably nailed the tracks within three takes. She was very professional." Rainbow's Clint Lawrence served as assistant engineer for Sparks' session. Studio employees ate lunch with Sparks. Later in the day, she snapped photos of pictures hanging on Erickson's door of Gloria Estefan, 311 and Boyz II Men. "She said, 'Oh, my gosh, famous people have been here,'" Erickson recalled. "I just thought it was really cute." Contact the Omaha World-Herald newsroom Copyright ©2007 Omaha World-Herald®. I've recently decided that this girl gets on my nerves. She's not confident at all. She always appears nervous and not composed.
If she would be confident and not so nervous, she'd be just fine.

She's sixteen, and I'm sure she hasn't been performing that much. She has basically no experience beyond beauty pageants, from what I've heard. I'd by shy too if I was that young and that new to the business.

OMG Shes 17 :o :o :o She'll probably make a good album but I doubt it will be massive. If Kat McPhee hasn't been huge I doubt Jordin will It all depends on the material, I think. If she gets to work with hit producers, she could be big. If they play it safe as they did with Kat's record, though, I agree, it will underperform.

an article from Billboard today on Jordin and some of the other finalists.Jordin has recorded 4 songs so far and is with Sony BMG as have past winners . some rumors have been going around they were still shopping her around . www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003625142Season Six 'Idol' Stars Prepping Debut Albums Jordin Sparks August 13, 2007, 4:10 PM ET Gary Graff, Detroit While their fellow "American Idol" finalists wait for word later this month on their futures, season six champ Jordin Sparks and runner-up Blake Lewis are hard at work on their debut albums. Both singers tell Billboard.com they've been using off-days from this summer's American Idols Live! tour for recording, and both hope to have their efforts out before Thanksgiving. Sparks' is untitled so far, while Lewis' has dubbed his "Audio Daydream (ADD)." "I'm feeling a little bit of pressure because it's coming up so fast," says Sparks. "But I have full confidence that we'll finish it by the time we have to." Sparks has recorded four songs so far -- including one with the production team Stargate -- recording in Los Angeles, Omaha, Neb., and Chicago, with a session scheduled for this week in Pittsburgh. She plans to do the bulk of the recording back in Los Angeles after the Idols Live! tour finishes on Sept. 22. "It'd kind of Kelly Clarkson's pop edge, a little bit," she says, "and I recorded a ballad-y type song, like a power vocal song, and then I recorded just a really fun, fast one. I'm trying to mix everything together. I'm loving all the songs I'm recording, so hopefully that will come off the album when you listen to it and you'll be able to feel the emotion." Idols Live! tour mate Chris Richardson has been writing songs with both Sparks and Lewis for their albums, which wukk be submitted for consideration. Lewis says he's recorded eight songs so far, working with producers such as Sam Hollander, Mike Elizondo and J.R. Rottem, with bt working on another track. "It's your favorite '80s mix tape," Lewis says, "very inspired by Michael Jackson, Prince, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, the Cure. It's all over the map, really -- very influenced by '80s hip-hop, old school breaks, whatever." "They're letting me down the album I've always wanted to make," says Lewis, who's written 11 of his own songs for the set. Sparks and Lewis are both signed with Sony BMG by virtue of their "Idol" finishes, but the rest of the "Idol" crew is awaiting word on whether they'll receive an offer later this month. Richardson, meanwhile, is also planning a "rock and soul" album he says will be "a mixture of Maroon 5 and Jason Mraz." He's also writing for Phil Stacey who, like Haley Scarnato, plans to make a country album. Gina Glocksen hopes to record "something pop/rock, like ... Pink," while LaKisha Jones has her eye on a gospel/spiritual album.
