Where's the Gia Farrell threads peeps! I decided to make one...THIS GIRL IS AMAZING! BETTER THAN CHRISTINA, MARIAH, AND BEYONCE' PUT TOGETHER!

Gia Farrell is a 18 year old pop singer signed to Atlantic Records. She began recording in late 2006 and continued through 2007. The album has no official release date, but is scheduled for release in Fall 2007 according to Atlantic Records.

Gia Farrell's voice is capable of hitting the whistle register and critics are stating she has the potential to "blow Christina and fellow pop acts out of the water". Her debut album is titled "Gia Farrell" and already contains a proven hit, the 2006 single "Hit Me Up" charted around the world, and got substantial airplay via the USA. Gia described the album as "pop and a little R&B". She recorded and wrote with several producers and writers from all over the world, such as StarGate (Beyoncé, Ne-Yo) and Matthew Gerrard (Kelly Clarkson).

The second single has been confirmed via Atlantic Records and Gia herself, it is called "Next" and is to be released in August 2007. Are you ready for Gia Farrell?

Hi Emma and Gia fans! This is gia's mom. Sorry it's taken so long for an album release. Still don't have a release date but should have some news soon. Gia had surgery on her ankle this month due to a slight fracture. She's already walking normally and even wearing heels as she had arthroscopic surgery to remove just the bone fragments. The album is still great but they are rearranging some songs. Very frustrating! How do you like Obvious? Mom

GIA NEWS UPDATES

OFFICIAL WORD FROM GIA'S MOTHER ON LABEL SITUATION:

The rumor is true, Gia is no loner signed to Atlantic Records. This is such a shame since we have all been waiting to hear her album! but dont worry, Gia is recording new songs and will be finding a new label. (im sure that wont be hard for her since she is so talented =) )
I know this information because Gia's mum told me, you can even see her post in our forums, but ill show it here as well.

Hi Emma! it's true. Gia was dropped by Atlantic. Her wonderful album will not be heard but don't despair. Within the next couple weeks she will start recording her new album which is completely written and will only take a couple weeks to record. We will let you know the minute we know where she will be as far as labels go. Thanks so much for your patience. Mom

INTERVIEW WITH GIA FARRELL:

Hey guys! i have something interesting. I asked Gia some questions (yes, the Gia Farrell) and she answered them!

Q. Are you/were you dating Travis McCoy? a few people have asked me but i don't really know!
A. I am really good friends with Travis. We hang out a lot when he's around and you've prob. seen some of the videos on youtube n' stuff with us in it. I def. think he is a very good looking man though

Q. When will we start to hear new music from you and roughly when will a single or album be released?
A. Well I am going to be recording a lot more new stuff in the next month or two, but I'm not sure when its going to be officially done and able to put out....but as soon as it is done I will let you know! :)

Q. Whats with your birth name being Jeannie Bocchicchio and then also being know as Gia Farrell? Does everyone call you Gia Farrell or is that sort of like a stage name?
A. Well my real name is Jeannie Marie Bocchicchio (frances is actually my moms middle name and my mom and I have the same name cuz I was born on her bday :) ) Gia was always a nickname of mine growing up and I decided to use it instead of Jeannie. And since Bocchicchio is very difficult to pronounce and spell I decided to take my grandma's maiden name Farrell and use it.

Q. Where can i hear the song 'Maidens of the Grove' from the Step Up movie. I have looked everywhere but cant find it anywhere. I have watched the movie but don't know where it is in it.
A. Hehe well "maidens of the grove" is actually just a short little thing I sing when I'm walking down the hallway in the movie. It's not even a full song. :)

I also found a survey thing which she is going to fill out :) there just basic questions so we can get to know Gia Farrell a bit better
